What put a frown on your face today?

One can hope that good people will find their way into the political system...but I'm not holding my breath. The system and the people involved will do everything possible to keep the corporate, establishment status quo going.

I'd had hopes at one point for groups that aimed to help elect candidates who'd push the party left. There have been some minor successes...but it seems like for every good person who gets elected, several lose in the primaries.

One other thing about this election that has hit hard (although it's more of a sadness than a frown)... I've thought sometimes I'd like to have just one relationship before I take up permanent residence in the skull orchard. Given financial realities, though, a relationship seems unlikely... Now, as I ponder what is likely to happen financially to people at my level over the coming years, I've given up what little hope I'd had of ever being able to date someone. Money doesn't buy happiness--but it's needed to some degree. A dinner and movie date ain't free!

I can't see myself doing hookups for a multitude of reasons--but even if I could resolve those issues, I'm thinking that by the time the corporate Democrats are done screwing people like me over, I won't even be able to afford a box of condoms for a hookup. (Oh, well. If I get AIDS, it would help make those Democrats bosses in pharmaceuticals even richer! That's all that matters for them!)

Ordered two things from Amazon that are useless without each other. Both set for delivery today. One is out for delivery and on the way... the other, despite still claiming it'll be here today by 8pm, hasn't even been dispatched yet.

This is annoying.

Might be bundled together, in which case, it doesn't always update the second item. It should, but sometimes it doesn't.

Ofcourse, it could be sent out late with a different delivery person.

Or, its not coming :argh: :D

But that's two out of three, positive possibilities!

Well I got item 1. No sign of item 2. Still no dispatch update.

You'll probably hear they're very sorry it's "running late".

I'm probably gonna head downstairs to check the post and foyer of the building just in case it's been left there and they haven't updated me about it. Last ditch hope that it'll actually be here today.

In the absence of an explanation, I'm betting I know what the two things are, and I'm betting the thing he's waiting for is the batteries.

I mean now it seems way more fun to just not mention what the items are at all.

In the absence of more reliable information, I’ll just go with Magic’s theory. In which case, stop being such a lazy fuck and just walk to the shop to buy the batteries that your vibrating silicone horse dick requires.

Weirdly I feel like what I actually bought would get me judged more harshly than a vibrating silicone horse dick.

I bought lots of YuGiOh cards and a folder to store them in.

I need to sell my magic the gathering cards from back in 2015... not sure how much they're worth but I need the money.

Stop trying to palm off your shit onto Sev, we all know he’ll buy any old shit. It’s not fair on him. He can’t help himself.

Did something I’m not proud of... but at least they’re leaving me alone right now.
