I just don't expect or see a situation where the Republicans elect someone once-typical like Kaisch, heck, even Pence (in terms of demeanour anyway...) again.

The next four years will see a lot of peoples social media bubbles a flood of memes and posts about Joe Biden being a paedophile, stealing their guns, calling him a commie, reminding them he was Obama's guy, and of course, more and more 'commentators' in the same realm of Alex Jones, even if he and ones previous get banned. They'll continue believing 2020 was corrupt and robbed too. I'm sure there will be more BLM protests etc which will continue the 'us v them' feeling in America.

The winner-takes-all system the Republicans have and open primaries makes it easier for a Trump-esque candidate too.

I just feel like politics has become too much of an entertainment in the US. 'aint no one like Kasich going to get momentum on the right with how things currently are.

The 2024 Republican nominee is either going to be Trump himself, one of his idiot kids, or Josh Hawley.

And they are going to win the primary by exploiting their role in encouraging the siege of the Capitol to paint themselves as a great revolutionary freedom fighter against the 'corrupt establishment in Washington.'

So they said I wasn’t a concern about living here but my roommates cousin... he probably needs to move out.

More work B.S. I really have to stop jinxing it by thinking it can't get any worse.

I have a very awkward family situation to deal with. I received an expensive gift. It comes with unacceptable strings attached. I want to return it without hurting feelings while also making it clear that I don't want gifts like this in the future.

Don’t really know where or who I am much these days. Covid really hasn’t helped a tough personal situation.

Mental health issues on top of real life issues make everything a million times harder.

Ok, I read this and my mind jumped to your Mom having given you a fine, handcrafted, marionette likeness of herself.

Tell me, am I psychic? Or just shy of the mark? What was the gift?

We’re on lockdown here but according to the statistics it really doesn’t seem to be helping to slow the spread of the virus.

You are way off. My mother gave me a fine, handcrafted marionette likeness of my aunt, her twin sister. I'm a truly embarrassed for you. I do not know how you will be able to go out in public after this.

The real gift was far less interesting. It was a gift certificate for a sizeable amount. I almost threw it away before opening it, thinking it was junk mail because there was no name or note. It took me nearly a day to remember that I was told to expect another gift weeks ago, the first one being only chocolate. And then I realized it is meant to be spent on a particular item that I had discussed purchasing for myself during the holiday sales. In reality, it is an attempt to buy their way back into my life because I have pushed my family away, although I believe this is more a subconscious motive than some sort of nefarious plot.

This is all a joke anyway, the politics, news, social media, etc Especially the so-called “Citadel of Demoncrazy” is just laughable. The ineffectiveness of the government, the lack of control over social media, absolute incommpetnece of the polce everywere are just few of the example of the decay of the U.S. Somebody start to take a serous look at modreating social meda nad stop the hate and the idiocy that has been spreading lke wildfire.

Doxepin, 0.5 to 6 mg before bed (licensed in the US in 3 or 6 mg but I find 0.5 is enough; brand names include Silenor) (possibly combined with melatonin). It's safe and effective long-term. The degree to which this medication is underutilised is baffling. So many people suffering needlessly. :(

Anyway, ask your doctor if low-dose doxepin for insomnia is right for you (if you live in the US)! Or get it regardless like I do. :P

I guess I'm having insomnia lately myself.

To be honest, I have had a real short fuse for quite a while given all the political crap going on here in the US. I'm not a liberal, and even more so I am NOT a conservative. I'm just a boring moderate. I don't hate tRump, but I DESPISE what I call tRump worshipers...

Anyway, I snap quite a bit on facebook as well as a porn forum I get on. I'll just give an example of the latter:

1) A bisexual guy my age (ancient) joined this porn-oriented forum. (Note, I have no interests outside my relationship -- neither sexually or romantically.)
a) There was this thread entitled "Guys kissing guys".
b) He had to make a posting that the thought of two guys kissing makes him VOMIT! :(

To that comment, I just lost it. Again, I have my peace of heaven that I'm content with. However, I get so SICK and tired of these dudes with the attitude that they can't be gay. They may consider themselves, bi, but practically are str8 -- that the only thing they like is cock.

I DO believe one can be bi. So I'm not one of those gays that wants to argue that they are all closet gays. HOWEVER, I'm so DAMN tired of hearing how desiring any part of a man outside of his cock is sickening or unnatural -- namely loving a man or showing affection such as kissing, hugging, etc.

Anyway, so with this guy, I simply wrote a reply that if he is so grossed even by the thought of two men kissing, then maybe he should see a trans doctor who could feminize his face. (Of course it had the effect I wanted -- pissing him off.)

So anyway to his pissed off reply, I responded that he should be thankful that I had an idea for his phobia that would put him at ease. That realize that even if I had a "nice cock" whatever that means in posts that he makes, that I would have no interest in lollipop sex with him as non-kissers are usually sexually fridged in other ways too -- namely full of sh@#$t, and that nothing can make one REALLY want to vomit than putting their penis in a sh@#$ty, smelly a$$hole.

Man I have a mean streak. You would think at my age I would have the maturity to not let others get to me. He may very well be a troll, but I let his vomit comment get to me. I guess what really gets me is this condescending attitude that guys can be all hot and horny for cock, but as long as they don't do X, Y, Z they still don't have to consider themselves as low and disgusting as being "gay".

Granted, I would never had an interest in anything with such a person in the first place, but what gets me is the connotation that there still is something so foul about gays.

Again, my reaction is inexcusable for a man of my age. I'm just thinking that I'm not alone in this gut feeling that men see a line between a man and being gay. When I feel that way, I wish I could take a baseball bat and shove it you know where.

Maybe I just need a red cap that reads "Make a str8 c0cks#$#er, gay again!".
