Not gonna lie, this would do more than just put a frown on my face....
Here's an example of the Universe trying to tell you that you need healing in an area of your life:

Someone who struggles with showing emotion. This person, in their lifetime, will constantly struggle with this, and that is because, they choose to ignore or disregard the fact that they have trouble showing emotion. Most people will ignore this issue, and will continue to fracture themselves. And this goes with pretty much any problem that happens in your life that is recurring. Don't pass up an opportunity to make you "whole" again.

The only reason this is only a frown is that I wanted to watch Star Trek, which I do also own on Blu Ray anyway. So it's not a massive imposition. Just... a bit annoying.

Star Trek TNG by any chance?

Original series. I've already watched through all of TNG once. Not ruled out doing it again at some point but not for a while.

Ah. I've never seen the original series, but I've seen all of the others. And I'd watch TNG over and over again just for the pleasure of ogling Patrick Stewart

I set myself a task many moons ago of watching all of Star Trek. Because as a self-proclaimed massive nerd it was a weird blind spot because I'd never really seen any of it. I stopped-and-started my way through The Next Generation over the course of years (because I get burnt out just watching one show regularly quite easily) because I was advised specifically to start with that one as it's the best one of them.

I really shouldn't be starting to watch any other long TV shows since I'm still meant to be watching through my whole Doctor Who collection and I'm barely anywhere into that herculean task as it is and there's just so much more of that than there is of Star Trek especially with my additional audio CD collection on top of the televised stuff.

My mum's refusal to make herself an Amazon account. She knows how it works, she's seen me order from it enough times. She's not technologically incompetent (most of the time) any more. She uses Amazon herself to find stuff she needs...

But she refuses to just get her own Amazon account so whenever she needs anything but can't just find it in a shop in town, she has to badger me to trawl through Amazon to find the exact one thing she's already looked through and found (and it's never like the first page result, this woman goes like 10 pages of products deep when she doesn't have to), order it for her, and then she will bug me constantly for updates on the delivery schedule for it.

It sounds like hoarding absolute tat runs in the Bezirksschornsteinfegermeister family. At least we know where you got it from.

My mum is the exact opposite of me in that regard. Both my parents are. They mostly only buy stuff they distinctly need. I mean everyone has like one or two things they have some form of collection of because it brings them joy to gather things around them like a dragon's treasure pile, but compared to my parents I do acknowledge I take it to a level that horrifies them. My dad is always giving me shit about my impulse-buying habits... despite the fact he owns approximately 300 miniature bottles of booze in an elaborate hand-crafted wall-mounted display cabinet.

For hypocritically giving you shit for wasting money on tat whilst himself wasting money on beverages he has no intention of consuming. You should drink them all yourself.

So... are we not breaking into Sev's dad's house and stealing his fancy liquor cabinet, then? Boring.

It's his fault anyway. He gives me shit really only for the amount of books I keep buying... but I trace my existence as a bookworm back to him giving me his copies of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings when I was little.

Like how my mum calls me an idiot for my Doctor Who collection when it was her that told me about the show even existing at all.
