You’d have to learn lots and lots of useless information about sports and craft beer. It’s not worth it imo.

I need to buy a new mattress but the mattress and bed store that's literally like 3 roads over from me is still closed with no hint of when they might re-open. And sure they still have their online store but can you really call it mattress shopping if you don't go out of your way to lie down on them.

These things are too expensive to buy sight-unseen and with no idea of how comfy they are.

I watched one football match when I was nineteen, and I've had to stretch out what little knowledge I gained from that for seven years. :(

Beer is good, though. Drink more beer. Was thinking of adopting the straight lifestyle and having a go at brewing my own, actually. I'll just have to add elderflower to take the hetero edge off, I suppose. :P

The interview process these days is getting out of hand. Companies want hours of interviews. Some want to give tests. I get that screening candidates is a difficult process. I have seen plenty of candidates that did not perform well after hiring. But I cannot take all of this time off from my current job to find a new one. There has to be a better way.

I work in a betting shop and despite vaguely being kind of aware of the current state of affairs in the Premier League because I literally have to know for said job, and despite having a team in said league that I support, I still know basically less than shit all about football in any kind of detailed sense.

And so many customers constantly want to talk about it. I have to smile and nod my way through one-sided conversations about the particular form of some striker who I couldn't pick out of a lineup if I was paid to on a damn-near daily basis.

How any straight people are able to maintain the ludicrously encyclopaedic knowledge of not just English football but European football both as a whole and in terms of individual countries' separate leagues that they do is beyond me. There's surely not enough hours in the day to keep track of it all, but they manage it somehow.

The doctor we go to is apparently not a doctor anymore. I’m pretty interested in hearing the story behind that.

Let's be charitable and conclude that it's not medical malpractice and that they've rather just decided to follow their dreams of becoming a circus trapeze artist.

Woke up to a flood in the kitchen this morning. It’s because our upstairs neighbours are using the sink as a garbage disposal as the water is full of coffee grinds and noodles.

It’s a good thing my husband woke me up when he did because I also forgot to set my alarm and hence couldn’t properly get ready for work, but I will be arriving on time.

I should be more pissed off about this but I’m not. I think it’s because of the meds I am taking or because I at least won’t have to deal with most of the cleaning from this. Or it might be because I’m still half asleep. :asleep:
