I just know I’m going to end up extremely stressed and unhappy.

Don’t cicadas sing while perched in tree branches?

Yes, in order to attract a mate.

I hate it when there's hardly any work for weeks and then suddenly it's everything at once. :pfft:

This has to do with the computer game I’ve been creating. I’m getting kind of sick of drawing weaponry for the database, but they aren’t going to draw themselves. It’s been a tedious process.

On the upside, if this is what I’m complaining about right now, then I must be doing pretty good lately.

I had a couple of small fillings put in today. My dentist said I shouldn't eat any solid foods for 24 hours afterwards... but that would mean I'm stuck without food until 1pm tomorrow and I'm fucking starving.

I do not have the appropriate apparatus to create such concoctions.

My solution to my predicament is just eating small snack items to tide myself over while very consciously making the effort to chew only on the non-filling side of my mouth.

I hope she recovers quickly. Jaundice is not uncommon in newborns. I was born with it myself and spent a little extra time in the hospital because of it. I hope it is nothing more serious.

The abs ecu on my horrid purple car has died. Which is annoying. I had hoped to not have to deal with car shopping.

On the upside, I dont have to rush to get a replacement car this time, so I shouldn't get stuck with an odd coloured clown car.

In theory...

Oh, sorry, the Antilock Braking System, Electronic Control Unit. It's one of several onboard computer systems in modern cars. It's one of I think, three or four, that are on a circuit that control all the cars electronic functions.

This one controls the brakes locking system (as the name implies) but it also manages the wheels speed sensors (which track distance traveled for the dash board readout etc) and without it, the speedometer doesn't work.

I could go into boring mechanical detail, but suffice to say, it needs repair or my car won't start. It's currently disconnected, so the car works but has no speedo and I can't see how much fuel I have remaining etc.

But the repair is a specialist job (only two places in the southeast of the UK.) Its a sellers market.

To get it replaced, would normally be expensive, but with the global silicon and chip shortage, the prices are crazy.

My purple fiesta isn't worth the four digit figure it would cost to get fixed. I also don't much like it anyway :P

So, I might aswell get used to walking for work.

Thinking back to something that happened to me when I was like 14 or 15, I guess that’s what I could describe as a panic attack. I’m so glad that’s never happened since. It’s truly horrifying.

I’m sorry this is a recurring thing. :(

I had a nasty migraine at work. It was bad enough that I actually considered going home early. I toughed it out though.

When I got home I found out there’s a heat warning for tomorrow. Ugh, looks like ‘rot in the sun’ heat’s coming my way.
