What put a frown on your face today?
Re: What put a frown on your face today?
I’ve lowered my calories to about 1800-1900 a day and I am getting headaches often now.

Try to keep your blood sugar consistent

I’m fine now that I’ve eaten (responsibly) and I’ve been warned the sudden decrease of sugar might cause mild withdrawal.

I know Lynx (Axe for Americans) is only for teenagers and absolute fuckboys, but I really do lament for the youth of today if this is what’s passing focus group testing these days.

I pretty much gave up on Lynx as soon as they brought out the fucking Marmite deodorant. Clearly they're beyond saving.

My question to this is just: "Wtf does leather smell like??" And I once had two classmates who were twins and they absolutely reeked of axe everyday. So much so, in fact, that you could smell them even if they had only walked by in the hallway. It was ridiculous and truly was as though they'd bathed themselves in a bottle of axe.

Why do we Americans get a weapon’s name for our product? Too soon! Too soon!

My habit for setting myself incredibly long-running and very time-intensive tasks supposedly for my own enjoyment but that I know I'll end up resenting in the long run.

You only focus on the next thing you need to do, to prevent getting overwhelmed.

I've sometimes set myself tasks like that, though I don't remember ever thinking I was doing so for my own enjoyment. Care to give an example here? I only ask because I'm not sure I've any clue what sort of task would fit this description, especially since it would have to be one that was ostensibly enjoyable.
Oh, by the way, how's the whole therapy endeavor been going for you? Have you yet had any more meetings with your therapist?

Just anxiety and a certain unpleasant sense of my own seemingly infinite inadequacy.

Trying so, so hard to succeed only to recurrently fail at half of what's important to me. I'm so stressed, so anxious, and I've no idea what I'm supposed to do. I feel like crying, but I've more coursework to do this morning and I've to send a peculiar sort of email to one of my professors, which I'm dreading.

I think I'm getting a migraine, which isn't great to begin with, but also since I've still a bunch of coursework to do today.

I’m probably going to be throwing out some of the hamburger I froze awhile ago. My husband thinks there’s something off about it.

I feel as though I'm entering yet another depressive episode. Not fun! I thought I'd escaped the worst of it over the winter, which is usually when I border on suicidal for much of the winter months. But no, apparently it was just waiting to strike me during the summer. Great!

This shit at work is bananas. I have terrible sciatic pain in my lower back and right thigh and people are still whining at me left and right to do increasingly strenuous/ridiculous things.

This is kind of a continuation of the last post. My back seems to hurt quite a lot now. Have I become laid up? Gross. I feel so old.

Sounds unpleasant, and you're not old until you can't remember whether you last saw your friend a week ago or over a month ago (that would be me lol).

Maybe it's time to consider another job?

No, I enjoy it. It’s just been stressful lately.
