What put a frown on your face today?

Just before Christmas, I bought an umbrella (having lost my old one a couple of months ago) and left it in WHSmith on the self checkout counter on the day I bought it. I realised as soon as I stepped out but then felt an umbrella in my bag, and presumed it was mine (it was actually my sisters which she'd lent me for the day.)

I went back yesterday and they said they hadn't had any handed in that day, which means that someone picked it up and took it because it was raining that day.

It doesn't end there though. I bought another umbrella yesterday and I can't find it now, which probably means I lost it in town, again. And it's raining today.

Buy a rain jacket.

Agreed, especially since it's usually windy in the UK when it's raining.

So...I have to cut a film project for school and it's kinda depressing. The workload isn't even that bad considering the 60 page script - there is no need for any special effects work whatsoever(mainly plain dialogue scenes) and most scenes don't need to be overdubbed, but looking through the material...it's just plain bad! Most of the shoots were rushed like crazy, resulting in awful camerawork, bad lighting and the inability to reshoot - and most of the acting performances were sup-bar to say the least. Additionally, a good 80% of the shots I have to work with include at least one moment of awkward silence or laughter as one of the actors forgot their lines.
I know a big part of this is just the perfectionist in my talking, people in the area will probably eat it up for the simple fact that it's one of the most ambitious projects, if not the most, to ever come out of the school and nobody will expect a professional result from a bunch of amateurs...but I just get sad looking at the material and have just about no motivation to cut it.

I just spilled soup on the floor. I'm so... just... why... I'm looking at it right now. I have to clean that. Sometimes life is just... an asshole.

If you wanna be gentleman like and sophisticated you would wear a rain coat and use and umbrella.

No, I hear the army are recruiting those to protect soldiers from the rain whilst keeping camouflage.
It could be worse, it could be a brown jacket and then he'd look like a tree.

New Year's is a weird thing. It forces people to feel like they need to be doing something even if they don't fancy it.
