The thought that I've reached the age where having facial hair makes me look younger. Oh well, just part of life <- when people say that do they really mean just part of life kicking your ass every day ?

Well I did explain that I wanted a second opinion on whether or not it was spoiled, but I can safely say it was not a good idea.

Not much to say other than hang in there. You are more than that relationship. The pain sucks, but it will pass in time.

I have to work a long stint before my next two days off. I’ve done the first evening and I still have all the way past New Year’s Day to go. :pfft:

I've been eating more ever since I got used to the constant great meals/desserts brought to me in bed throughout the day at the hospital, and my BMI (a flawed measure, I know) is now actually as high as 20.2 kg/m2, up from about 18.5. :runaway:

I discovered an error in my battle scripting code in regards to various regenerating monsters that, well, prevented that. Since there are about two to three dozen monsters that regenerate it means a few hours of fixing code. It’s tedious but at least I figured out how to fix it.

I was talking about an error in the game code a couple of nights ago here. Well, if that error happens with regeneration it probably also happens with a little script that boosts the abilities of surviving monsters when the monster with that code gets slain. More code fixing is going to be needed with those monsters. :facepalm2:

Does "write drunk, edit sober" apply to coding??? Good luck with the fix!

I'm very tired of having arseholes on Grindr judge me because I don't have much of any interest at all in being fucked in the arse.

Amazon Prime Video has the most terrible user interface that I have ever experienced in a streaming service. It feels like somebody just shat out all of the shows at random on there. Why are TV show seasons split? Why does me choosing a German audio track for a German show mean that I have to listen to German dubs for non-German shows? Why does me pressing pause on a remote show up a menu instead of immediately pausing the show?

And what's with only giving you all of 3 milliseconds to choose to watch the credits and not immediately jump to the next episode (at least on phones)? So annoying.
And why force ads/trailers for your own shows on people when they're trying to watch other stuff? They've already got our fixed annual fee and we can watch the shows for free, so it's not like there's more money to be made by doing so. I don't get it.

I've been watching three shows on Amazon Prime. Went into the app on our smart TV the other day and for some reason the seasons I'm right in the middle of were gone from my suggestions section and it was instead suggesting the first season of one of the shows. It's so stupid. Also, they split the UHD version of seasons into seperate listings, but then don't seem to be keen on suggesting the UHD listings even though they should know I'm watching on a 4K TV.

Awesome. So I am not the only one for once.

I was just calculating my work free days and vacations for this year... This put a frown on my face. Half of the work free holidays this year are on weekends, which sucks. I am basically 5 days short... which means either forget that or work overtime :( .

They don't automatically give you the following Monday off as a substitute holiday? That's how it works here.

For example, in 2021, Christmas and Boxing Day will fall on a Saturday and Sunday, so Monday and Tuesday the 27th and 28th of December will be public holidays to make up for that.

I've done some of my best coding being high. LoL At the same time some of the stuff you'd look at later and think "what the hell was I thinking". So I guess what I'm saying pretty much the same as if I were not high at the time. I'm one of those people that is quite functional while high. So while some might become a total vegetable on a particular strain, one BF comes to mind, I'm far more likely to want to be active in some way. That BF found that both amazing and annoying.
