Hey Joshy, welcome to the forum :keke:

What sort of music do you like to play on your instruments?

I’m not amazing at guitar yet, but I like to play quite slow bluesy type music, whereas piano I like to play game soundtrack music, a lot of boss fights lol

Ooh, I like playing game music on my piano as well! :awesome:
Some of my favourite pieces to play are from the Final Fantasy series.

No way? The main ones I’ve played lately are close in concept as they are Kingdom Hearts - I tried learning Sephiroth’s One Winged Angel but on a keyboard piano it sounds really horrible, need to get another standing piano in my apartment

I have a Kawai CN43 digital piano and I love it. I got it as a gift from my parents after I got married and moved out because they wanted to make sure I didn't stop playing for years until I could afford a nice one myself :3

Kingdom Hearts has some very pretty music too. I learned one tune from it once, but that was ages ago and I haven't kept up with practising it.

I wanna learn some proper arrangements of pieces from Chrono Trigger, if you know that one. That and Golden Sun are my favourite RPGs ever.

I mainly play classical/Romantic-era music, though. Some movie themes too. I really like the theme from Interstellar. I learned this awesome arrangement of it:

Never played Chrono Trigger but might have to give it a go - never properly played Final Fantasy as my interest came from when I stumbled across Kingdom Hearts

I taught myself to play piano when I was a teen using my sisters, and recently bought a guitar for the same. I’m not amazing, but considering I’ve just been using chord charts to learn and memorize then I don’t think I’ve done too bad!

My dream would be to get a nice antique grand piano, but we’re talking thousands and thousands of dollars

I didn't really get good until I got a professional teacher. That also cost my mom thousands, but it was worth it :P

I wouldn’t dream of asking mom or dad to pay for piano lessons, they had enough torture with me trying to learn when I lived with them!

Although, with the promise that I would be better maybe they would..
