Hey Elias, welcome to GFO :)

I heard that in Germany you're not even allowed to order electronics from abroad if it doesn't come with instructions in German and your customs will stop it from entering the country. Is that true? If so, I get what you mean
I was born in the Netherlands, which is a bit similar, and moved to Scotland. :keke:

Hello, sorry for the late answer, but yes, you cannot order parts without german instructions, or without a CE sign. The ZOLL will keep them.
There are some other rules to make the people crazy:
you want to build a house on a piece of land. Next to the property is a forest. You may not build your house because the forest would be too close to the house. This is a law in Germany to protect the forest. However, with the appropriate permits you can have a part of the forest removed (sawn) then you can build your house. So we remove the forest because the law says that you cannot build too close to the forest. it is logical to protect the forest, um not. Don't worry, there are a few hundred more such laws in Germany. If you want to have paperwork and constant annoyance with "This is forbidden" and people who say "I can't do anything, regulation from above", Germany is exactly the right thing for you, otherwise: stay away as much as possible.
We used to be the land of infinite ingenuity, today we are the land of infinite laws

Oh and I forget if you use this :hitler: in germany you will if you are unlucky get asked some questions from a sort of police called "Verfassungsschutz" big trouble, big big trouble.
