Hi, I'm new here.

*Hello, I'm new here. I'm a gay guy from Korea. Last year, January, I learned that the consent for sexual activities in my country is 16. I decided it was now safe for me to explore my sexuality. I was getting a bit frustrated from only just pornography, so I started chatting with others. However those chat sites filled with spams and perverts didn't really help.
I am attracted to older males, often +20 years and I find it very confusing. I know 'Dad&Son' genre is quite popular in gay porn sites and being attracted to older males is not uncommon in the gay world. Still, I have a feeling that this is sinful and wrong.
To be frank I am in contact with two older guys, one sexual and the other non-sexual. I'd like to have some advice about this (I will post about the situation soon). I realized I liked it a lot, and fortunately they don't seem like guys who try ro groom younger boys.
Well, that's my introduction here. I hope to become a more mature person by guiding my sexuality in a healthier way. Thank you for reading.

*Questionnaire that was requested to me to fill out
name: I'd like to stay anonymous, as I am not yet an adult and also closeted. I found a new packet of margarine on the kitchen table as I made my profile so I named myself margarine 2021 here. I think it is rather too long and a bit weird, but I don't know how to change it. Hehe.
Age: 16
Orientation: Gay
Where you live: South Korea
Where you're from: South Korea
What you do (job, schooling, etc.): High schooler
Dream Job: I am interested in media. I think a reporter would be a cool and enjoyable job for me. However my Korean grades, which is important for applying to media majors, are not that good.
Religion (or lack thereof): Non-religious.
Political philosophy: Complicated. I would say I am fairly liberal but from a Westerner's view I might look conservative in certain aspects.
Interests and hobbies: Korean history, English, Western culture (I am a fan of Saturday Night Live), the news (BBC, The Guardian, etc)
Drinking, drugs or sobriety?: I would never do drugs, or smoke ever. However if I become an adult I think a glass of beer at the end of the week would be fantastic!
Special talents: I think my English skills are good enough to communicate with foreigners. I like learning it and I find it useful - thanks to English I found this site too!
Pet peeves: I don't have a pet, and I am a bit scared of animals.
Personal hero: I don't have one yet, sadly.
Favourite real-life homosexual: A teacher in middle school that I had a crush on. / I used to adore Kevin Spacey before the sexual allegations.
Favourite movies: American Beauty (yes, Kevin Spacey is in there but I enjoyed the film even putting aside the fact that he starred in it)
Favourite TV shows: Saturday Night Live
Favourite music: 1950s~1960s oldies music sounds sweet and relaxing to me. Oasis, Coldplay, Maroon5. I am not really up-to-date regarding music, but I like to explore various kinds of songs. That's why I have American, British, Japanese, Chinese music in my playlist. When I get tired of the usual beats I turn on BBC 1 for fresh stuff.
Favourite books: A Korean high schooler has to spend most of his day reading textbooks by heart. No time for books for fun!
Favourite food: I like Chinese/Thai/Vietnamese food as well as most Korean dishes. But I dislike seafood, which is an agony when you are born in an peninsula where people constantly bring you to seafood restaurants.
A quote to live by: I haven't got one yet. I will try to find one in the near future.

Hello and welcome! I live in New York, so it's weird seeing someone from the other side of the world up right now. It is only 2 pm for you, so maybe I'm the weird one. Your English does seem pretty good, probably better than some native speakers I know. That said, a pet peeve is just a little thing people do that you find annoying, like sneezing into your hand. Also, what's your favorite part of SNL? I find the Weekend Update is the only consistently good part in the last few seasons.

Thanks for letting me know about 'pet peeves'. I find it annoying when people use racist words against foreigners. In fact most of my peers don't think they are wrong, and I find it shocking. / Political comedy in Korea is almost non-existent and most comedy shows are pretty lame. So I watch SNL instead. I find it a bit difficult to understand Weekend Update sometimes because it mostly satirizes American politics/society, which I am not fully aware of. Nevertheless I also agree Weekend Update is pretty good. Colin Jost is cute, too. Hehe. SNL cannot be accessed by TV here so I rely on short clips. I enjoy watching skits, most of them are fun. If a Korean TV station aired steamy, politically sensitive stuff like SNL it would be banned, lol.

I meant to write a reply to you but accidentally made a reply to my own post, hehe.

Hello, Margarine! Welcome to GFO.

BBC6 is a good channel for new music, too! Tends to be less chart-focussed, and plays a wider range of stuff. I'm fairly evangelical about the merits of BBC6 Music. :P

My god. How do you manage to tolerate politicians if you don't get to make fun of them? :gaping:

Hey Margarine, welcome to the forum :keke:

If you did decide you'd like to change your username, I can always change it for you. It's funny though! :D

I generally read and like the Guardian too!

I usually like SNL, but it can be a bit hit and miss :P
Actually posted a skit from that in the laugh thread a few days ago!

Anyway, good to have you with us!

Take care and stay safe :)

Weekend Update has always been my favourite part! I loved Seth Meyers on it (and love that he's kinda perfected it while also adding more serious stuff on his own show since, and posts lots on his YouTube channel).

I started watching maybe half a season before Meyers left. It was a real shame, he did his job well.
