I want to watch that movie again ( into the wild). I remember it being pretty good.

Omg in the comments someone said "it doesn't get Eddie Vedder then this" lol people are so dumb.

This just popped up as a suggestion. It sounds very 80's to me and totally different from what they usually do and i kinda dig it.

Getting back into IDM. Any other industrialists on here?

Soylent grün ist menschenfleisch! Aaaaaaaaaa! :D

Also listening to this, apparently.

The whole album (Oil of Every Pearl's Un-Insides) is a fucking trip, actually. It's so grotesque and awful. I love it. More please.

Thanks mate

This was number 1 in the UK charts when I was born, sadly it was the first time round in 1994 and not 1997 when the Labour party used it for their election campaign

More industrial. Laibach are becoming more relevant these days, which is nice/terrifying.

Also these two:

Check out their newer stuff, if you haven't already. The Liberty of Norton Folgate is ace!

Last industrial themed post, I promise. As of tomorrow, I am de-industrialising. I... have a headache.

It would be remiss and downright irresponsible of me not to inform you that listening to Grendel when coked up to the tits is great. Drugs and aggrotech make you cool.

Or maybe just, like, have a whole tub of sherbet instead. Drugs are bad, and should all be given to me for safekeeping.

Jesus Christ, I had my earphones in, volume high... now I can't fucking hear.

Nevertheless... interesting. It's kind of simultaneously bubblegummy and abrasive. Will check out more.

Everyone loves dark side of the moon but to me wish you were here is THE pink floyd album.

This like a lot of there songs is a tribute to sid barrett. He was only on there first album but was the lead of the band at that time. Sadly he was schizophrenic and drug's did a real number on him. He did make 2 solo albums but lived as a hermit the rest of his life ( he died in 2006) even though he was only on the first album and contributed nothing to the band after that they continued to pay him royalties on ALL of pink floyds music.

Now the song..... You know its badass when you wait Almost 10 minutes to even start vocals. Also David Gilmour doesnt get enough credit as a guitarist. HE shines on this. He basically made this song his bitch and its an awesome bitch.

A fantastic album. RIP Syd Barret.

OT:

Lots of people commenting on the increasingly simplicity of melody in music, but a lot of time it works for me. I wonder why this is a trend? I shall consult the critical theory and report back.

Post-rock, post-punk, post-hop... we're living in the beyond era.
