Re: Song of the Moment
Pale Waves releasing a new album next year!
Also, Astophychosis' debut album:
My most heavy metal colleague's verdict: "You listen to a lot of jangly shite, huh?"

My music taste is edgy or flowery and there is no in-between. But yeah the latest Days N' Daze album slaps

Did someone say flowery?
... yes I think I am hilarious and no I will not be taking criticism at this time.

It's just music from the 50th Anniversary episode of Doctor Who so.

Imagine, if you can, four minutes of mildly sedated Enya followed by some royalty free tension music bundled with a free trial of a movie editing software package.

Sometimes I feel like you have made it your sole mission to drive me away from this forum by finding every possible avenue through which to deeply insult me.

I don’t want to drive you away from the forum. I accept no responsibility for you, with what can only be described as pathological determination, constantly setting up a context in which no sane person would expect me not to make a sarcastic remark. If anything, you’re consistently manipulating me in order to cast me as the villain and see ME cast out into the barren wastelands beyond our walls. So fuck you.

You didn't need to insult the work of composer Murray Gold in front of me. You chose to do this; this was an active choice that you made. I have done nothing to deserve that kind of slight. I am an innocent bystander to your sarcastic fury and have done nothing to warrant it being turned against me and the things that I love.
So fuck you.
I mean if that's what it takes to resolve this...

Re: Song of the Moment
On the basis on that track, ascribing Murray Gold that mantle of “Composer” is akin to ascribing Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson the mantle of “Thespian”. There. I’ve said that now and I won’t unsay it. Murray should be ashamed of himself.
And whilst I’m at it, John Hurt debased himself for a paycheque by appearing in that special! It was beneath him!

I have 10 seasons and change of music from Murray Gold that I could have chosen from, that was the one I happened to have been listening to at the time. If it doesn't suit your fancy elegant tastes then so be it, I stand by my assessment that I love it. *

On this we're mostly agreed. Not that Doctor Who is beneath him, but that the specific one-shot role was. I still like John Hurt, of course I do, and, he did a good job, but they should have made more of an effort to get Christopher Eccleston back or, failing that, bring Paul McGann back.
* Before the point is made yes I am very much aware that my opinion about anything regarding Doctor Who is ludicrously biased towards loving it, but that's just who I am as a person.
