Not a song but a full album.

I first heard this lovely song performed by my rabbis and cantor this past erev Shavuot (i.e. the evening of the 16th). I thought it was beautiful and so I looked for the original version sung by the person who wrote it. It's rather touching, I think, and it is certainly meaningful to me. Anyway, I found myself listening to it just now and thought I'd share it. I don't imagine many of you will find it particularly appealing, but still, I suppose it can't hurt to share!

EDIT: Okay I meant to post this instead, but that first song is a banger so I'm leaving it here too.

There is a certain resemblance, isn't there?

I was originally just going to post the first song, but then I thought of the second which is also good.

Neat fact! This is Paul Verlaine's poem, Clair de Lune, put to song by Gabriel Fauré. Verlaine's poem was also the inspiration for Claude Debussy's composed piece of the same name. I've taken the time, by the way, to post Verlaine's poem in the Poem of the Moment thread.

Figured I'd might as well just add Debussy's Clair de Lune, since not everyone may know it (despite that it is undoubtedly his most well-known composition).
