Final season of The Man in the High Castle dropped this last weekend!

Also, His Dark Materials! Finally, a proper adaptation!

Last two episodes of Silicon Valley are coming up. It’s been such an amazing hilarious sitcom, from start to finish; so sad that it’s ending.

The Crown has a new season.

Rick and Morty!

Netflix released a new season of Atypical, which is such a charming dramedy. Best depiction of high-ish-functioning autism I’ve ever seen.

We haven’t started watching the new season of Mr. Robot yet, but looking forward to that.

Really looking forward to starting the second season of The End of the Fucking World, OMG. The first season was stunning.

I finally finished the final season of the big bang theory. And I enjoyed it. It wasn't to big on comedy. But brought back a lot of the small details the show began with.
Especially when Sheldon was talking about everything changing. And suddenly the elevator opens and penny steps out. That elevator has been down for 12 seasons. ( smart on the writers, as so much of the show happened up and down the stairs). And out of nowhere it opens unexpectedly.

Also writing in the Nobel prize was a great idea. It fit in with the show perfectly. But also was a catalyst for Sheldon to give a speech about the entire series. And the series went out really well. Not with a big bang. But on a very nostalgic note and very on brand with the show.

That looks pretty much like my watching schedule for this year. Just finished Atypical on Wednesday and started The Crown yesterday. I didn’t know that a new season of The Man In The High Castle is out, so that’s definitely jumping to the top. After that The End of... and Mr. Robot then.

Im loving this law and order svu special.
Ive watched this show since i was probably 14. And i love this show.
I'm so happy to see the actors have taken it to heart and started charities or foundations for victims of sexual abuse.
Im also happy to see it pass the actual original law and order. Its an excellent show that stays current. But then sometimes throws in a true detective story.
Tbh i hope this show stays for years. The show is just so well made with good acting. Its always a good/bad hour of the day. And the criminal isnt always caught. ( robin williams episode) god its a good show from start to...............

I have a soft spot in my heart for SVU, but definitely not because I think it's well-made or well-acted.

Do you think it's an accurate depiction of autism?

I think it's an accurate depiction of what autism can be. Sam has a significantly more intense version of it than I ever did, but I do see a lot of myself in him, especially when I was younger. I feel like I've had several firmware updates since then that address some of the more troublesome aspects. It was helpful for me to have a father who went through the same stuff and could give me tips. In my adult years he said I'd improved/adjusted way more than he had by the same age.

I think it's a very good depiction of at least one point on the autism-intelligence plane.

I really like how they show some autistic disposition/tendencies in both parents.

I said to myself: "Don't." But I did. So, after finishing Sabrina Part 3, my arachnophobia is even worse.
Anyways, there was this icy horror thriller called Fortitude, with three seasons. It's been on my recommendation list for a while. So far, so good. No spiders. :keke:

I'm curious, are you watching "original" or remastered version of Buffy? Apparently, they messed up effects and face editing, so the audience complained how the remastered version ruined their feel of nostalgia while rewatching the show.

That's a good one. Not what I expected to see. :)

Yes, the remastered version is not good at all. Even the frame has been cut to make it 16:9 so you don't see a piece of it. Plus, the colors are so bright. Sometimes the night scenes seem like it's daytime. I seriously don't recommend it.

I got season 5 of CHiPs from the library, which I started last night. (For those who don't know, this was a detective/crime drama TV show of the late 70s/early 80s. It centered around the California Highway Patrol.)

Not exactly terribly intellectual viewing, but I feel like something undemanding. And it's fun seeing the late 70s/early 80s captured. I'm old enough to remember that era (I was elementary school aged about that time).

Also interesting with this season: one of the actors was Caitlyn Jenner for a few episodes. I haven't reached those yet.

In reality you probably don’t want to finish it. I think I gave up on modern star-trek remakes. They are basically polished shit that misses the whole point of the original.

I thought Discovery got much better than it was in the beginning.

And what about the Picard series? I haven't seen any of it yet, but I figure the fact that Patrick Stewart not only approves of it but is actually excited about it is a good sign.
