TV Show of the Moment
Re: TV Show of the Moment
I watched the first couple of episodes of "We Are Who We Are," the new HBO show from the director of "Call Me By Your Name." It's also set in Italy and focused on queer coming of age, with a young woman (?) who appears to be questioning their gender identity and a male teen who seems to have homo tendencies — at least I think that was what was happening in the premiere's most intriguing scene as the boy wandered into a locker room with young soldiers sharing a communal shower.
The teen isn't shy about checking out one soldier in particular, letting his gaze linger for an uncomfortable interval, and neither is the cameraman. But who could blame them when he's played by Tom Mercier, who could turn a straight guy? If you haven't watched "Synonyms" — or at least the male nudity edit — do yourself a favor.
There's already more nudity here, so I wonder if the show will include sex scenes that are a little less tepid than those featured in "Call Me By Your Name." At the very least, if a twink has taken the trouble to ejaculate into a stone fruit and then leaves that ripe peach — blush and bulging, dripping and juicy, redolent of semen — as a potential gift, his male admirer should do the decent thing and consume it.

Re: TV Show of the Moment
I've prepared quite a tv show marathon for myself. Currently I'm at episode 12 of the first season of "Wynonna Earp", atm the 3 seasons of "Dark Matter" are downloading, then there are all the season of "Shadowhunters". And I'm still waiting for the final episode of "The 100" which then I'm gonna watch all over again once it's completed. Still hoping for "Stranger Things" will get new seasons, though I doubt that would ever happen.

Season 4 was delayed by the pandemic but is still supposed to be happening.

Weird. "The 100" was never stopped by the pandemic, they even quite recently shot the final episode of the show and now I'm waiting for its BluRay quality to be released.

I thought it had been cancelled at the end of season 3

Let us all join together in prayer that this is not so.
I need as much Stranger Things in my life as possible, all the time. It sustains me. Same with Umbrella Academy at this point if my recent YouTube history is much to go by.

Oh, sorry, I was refering to vaslo mentioning The 100. I thought THAT series had been wrapped up awhile back and I thought it was THAT series, the renewal of which, was being spoken about. I really need to check further back in threads, its the second time this week I've blundered into the middle of a conversation, halfway through and either got the details wrong or repeated what someone else had said.
No, I suspect, nay, have no doubt, that Stranger Things will get another season or two yet.
I don't know where they will take the story in the next season though.
The child actors will be full fledged young adults before too long. Now that will be strange.

If you meant that The 100 has been cancelled after season 3 - no. The 100's season 7 is the last one.

No way, I had no idea. I recall seeing season 3, a plot line involving an AI, i want to say. I thought that series ended there.
I may have to check it out, although I wonder if it will have the same appeal now.

Re: TV Show of the Moment
Season 7 is a little... boring and confusing with these wormholes through a solar system plus not making it clear what is the last enemy man kind will ever fight. But despite these... writers' mistakes, it's still a nice show to watch. Altough I started watching it only because of Eliza Taylor
.

From the male actors I liked the guy who played Finn's role but they killed him too soon.

Bump in case anyone missed this.

I want someone to watch it so we can discuss.

One of my relatives recommended it too recently. Maybe Brenden and I will watch it sometime and we can discuss.

Re: TV Show of the Moment
Ratched, by Ryan Murphy, my gay king who keeps on giving created it. I feel like it's replacing AHS this year - it is actually somewhat similar to Asylum. It has a great cast as well Sarah Paulson (gay), Finn Wittrock (gay), Brandon Flynn (gay), Cynthia Nixon (gay), Sharon Stone, and a bunch of others. Look at all those LGBT actors!! I binged the whole thing in 4 days. Def worth it. It's super good and there is going to be a 2nd season. Also, no AHS for 2020 due to Covid.

Isn't Finn Wittrock married to a woman?

You're right. I don't know why I thought he was gay. Wishful thinking.

Re: TV Show of the Moment
I tend to assume any cute guy in Ryan Murphy's orbit is gay.
I have such mixed feelings about him. At its best, AHS is wonderful trash that is just the right amount of gay, but it slips very quickly into being terrible and gratuitous. Glee is similar in that it showed great promise at one time, but eventually became what I can only describe as a black hole of fucked vibes.

Re: TV Show of the Moment
I never got into Glee, but I know what you mean about AHS, especially the first season, with the gay couple. They were pretty insufferable--although it was by design, being that it was the first season, it probably was too early for that.
Did you watch Hollywood? That's really good too.
Overall, I really like Ryan Murphy shows, but my biggest fear is that one day TMZ will run a story about a Ryan Murphy casting couch, where all the young gays in Hollywood try to get a part in one of his shows. Like Bryan Singer or something. I don't have anything that would make me think that, aside from it being Hollywood, and everything lol .
