No, I completely agree about the Bryan Singer comparison. We should be suspicious of any Hollywood guy whose work is habitually sexual and gratuitous, who has a reputation for making young people's careers, and who is constantly flanked by his sexy young muses. It's especially weird with Ryan Murphy because of how easy it is to tell what his type is.

Speaking of that, you know what's interesting? Evan Peters, who is in my opinion, Murphy's fav of them all, or at least he used to be, played played Quicksilver in the 2014 film X-Men: Days of Future Past and its 2016 sequel, X-Men: Apocalypse. Bryan Singer directed both of them.

EDIT: I just want to add Evan isn't gay - he's used to date Emma Roberts (also cast in AHS) and Julia Roberts' niece. But the connection to Singer is interesting.

Evan Peters is an absolute dime, but he doesn't look like the rest of the square-jawed, blue-eyed, dark-haired entourage.

He fits the "twunk" look though. I feel like most of the boys that are cast in his shows have huge thigh muscles and sturdy butts. Murphy def doesn't go for the full blown twink - like I think Singer does. They're always guys that can wear Hanes underwear and somehoow fill them out perfectly. hahah

3 days ago I came across a new TV show (well, new to me, otherwise IDK when it launched) with at least 2 LGBT characters and yesterday I started watching it. The warlock Magnus is quite cute. :D

You it is on Netflix. It's a psychological thriller which I thought was going to go really slow, but I was very wrong, and it's actually very good!

Watching the very early Midsomer Murders episodes and oh god the nostalgia of it. I used to watch this show with my parents when I was way too young to remotely follow it properly (and probably way too young for the subject matter too to be fair) and it's just so comfortable, for lack of a better word, to watch it again.

The first episode even has a moment where a character refers to gay people with a crude nickname and is forcibly corrected and chastised for it which was nice to see.

Somehow, I'm so sick fond of 13 Reasons Why S4, knowing that literally everyone hates it. Charlex is like the cutest! Justin shouldn't have been arranged to die like that, though.

I really liked S4 as well. But I guess that show is very polarizing in general.

Blow: "Nowadays even Liam can release an album of his screechy vocals and it'll probably go #1..."
Ramzus: I can admit that I'm horny just about 24/7

I kind of hate myself for liking this but Elite on netflix.

It's a rather ridiculous teen drama/murder mystery where some middle class Spanish high school students get a scholarship to go to an elite school for the rich and then someone at the school gets murdered and the wrong person jailed despite no evidence.

It has lots of hot Spanish guys and a gay romance in it though. :D

Because my life is an endless repeating cycle of binge-watching the same things over and over again, I've just started rewatching Doctor Who from the very beginning.

And god, despite my overwhelming love for everything about this show and it's undeniable charm even when it's bad and awkward, some of the really early stories are pretty demanding in terms of the will-power to get through them, to the point that it makes me appreciate how this show was able to last even beyond the first incarnation of the Doctor let alone lasting for 57 years and counting.

I've been known to rewatch some things over and over... That "I see it once, and that's the last time I see it" idea is totally foreign to me...

One of the shows I have a weakness for rewatching every so often is Perry Mason. (If anyone doesn't know this show: it was a 50s/60s mystery/detective series about a trial lawyer who always got his wrongly accused clients acquitted.) Although I haven't done any project of watching from the start and going straight through to the finish. And I'm not sure I'd have the patience to do that--I saw some old late episodes in the last year or so, and they just don't hold up--at least for me--to the standard of the earliest episodes. I can't imagine actually watching my way through those last seasons in order.

They did some Perry Mason movies in the 1980s and 1990s. I saw one of them again at some point...and I felt old, when I realized that I'd seen that when it first aired--more than 30 years ago.

As I think of it now, I'm not sure when I saw the last TV program. At least, in full. I watch DVDs from the library, and I seem to recall returning the last of those a few months ago now. I think there might have been something on at least one set that I hadn't watched, yet, so I watched that episode before returning the DVD.

Those DVDs also set a record for the longest I've had something from the library--months and months. (The library closed completely down for several months due to the pandemic.)

The library is open for curbside service, so I could order DVDs...but just haven't been in the mood.

I have been watching Shameless (US) on Netflix. It has been a long time since I have found something worth binge watching.

Recently rewatched Vicious, Fawlty Towers and some Black Books with Brenden's mom (who out of these had only seen Fawlty Towers but loves rewatching it like I do), and we're slowly making our way through the same with our boyfriend who hadn't seen any of them yet but also enjoys British sitcoms. :keke:

Apart from those, we're finally watching Babylon 5 with our boyfriend. It's one of his favourite shows of all time, and PopTart's been saying the three of us need to watch it together for the last 8 months or so :D
We're absolutely loving it. Watched season 1 over the course of about 2 weeks last month and can't wait to watch (at least) season 2 when we're back at his house in a few weeks' time. :awesome:

Also very much looking forward to continuing Hilda and His Dark Materials together now that season 2 of both is coming out this month (perfect timing).

I watched Special (Netflix). For a gay show, it was alright. It has its funny and sweet moments.

I watched Love, Death & Robots (also Netflix). Some of the episodes are creative. Some are really over the top. I’m honestly not sure what I thought about it.

I watch a few episodes of Cobra Kai (again Netflix, notice the theme). It’s like watching a car wreck. You know it’s bad but you just can’t help yourself. It’s exactly what the movies I grew up with in the 80’s were like.
