What Anime Are You Currently Watching?

I didn't really see a Anime Topic so I thought I'd Post one =]

Right Now I'm trying to keep up with three Anime shows.

1. Black Clover

2. Boruto Next Generations

3. Tokyo Ghoul Season 3

I've actually recently got back into watching anime, starting with some series I enjoyed when I was younger; so far I've rewatched Dragon Ball Z, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Gundam Wing and Hikaru no Go.

I'd forgotten how weird the ending of NGE got. I did enjoy the rest of it quite a bit, especially the second half.

My favourite anime ever would be Hikaru no Go

Currently rewatching Gundam SEED.

I do it as one of my pomodoro break activities, which run for 8 minutes at a time in between 25-minute work units.

Season 2 of Hell Girl, but I've been meaning to check out Erased. I've heard good things about it.

Probably going to dive back into Devilman Crybaby and some other random things I've been meaning to see like Land of the Lustrous, Yuru Camp, Hinamatsuri, Kakegurui, Steins;Gate, A Place Further Than the Universe, Umamusume + more

Mostly just waiting for Made in Abyss season 2 and Overlord's been fun.

On the Manga front it's probably time to read Golden Kamuy, One Punch Man, and MiA. Atm I'm just waiting for Tokyo Ghoul and Berserk to update.

Which ending specifically, I remember they brought out several, each one more bizarre than the last! I still love the Shinji-Kawarou scene though.

Have you seen the original? If so, how does it compare? I remember the original being poorly voice acted, with very little plot, just enough to justify the gratuitous violence and nudity, which I was a big fan of as a teen!

I recently watched Code:Geass, which was alright.
I also revisited Ninja Scroll, for that classic quality anime
BattleAngle:Alita, since they are making a movie so I wanted to refresh my memory on it.
I watched the first two parts of 3x3 eyes not too long ago (ok about a year ago) but I just didn't like the final three parts. The tone changed too much.
I'm rather ashamed to admit, that I was watching Junjou Romantica recently aswell, at first it was so farcical, it was comedy gold, but then I started to really get into the characters romances, bizarre and over wrought as they were. That led me Sakaiichi Hatsukoi, which was very anxtiey and yet, again, I loved it!

Nah I haven't seen the original movies ae apart from some dumb moments on twitter.

The new show is much more of it's own thing and it has some stuff original fans weren't too thrilled about but I really loved it's aesthetic, the music was killer, and the theme was on point. Feels a lot more homoerotic too though it's a little baitey. Definitely wins the award for most upfront gay sex scene in a non yaoi anime even if it's super short.

I think it's one of the most inspired anime projects to come around in a long time.

I checked out the art style for this new incarnation and I have to say, I much prefer it. The originals were awful. It has abit of a special place in my heart however, as it was THE first anime I saw as a kid, sat up watching late night tv and it came on. It was the first time I'd seen a "cartoon" with graphic violence, swearing, nudity and mostly adult themes. The terrible writing and voice acting got a free pass when I was that age, lower expectations and all that.

Probably the anime that got me into manga and anime in general.

The fandom for it always struck me as abit, well. Of a particular sort, tbh. So I wouldn't put much stock in their opinions on the new incarnation.

Finally got around to watching Spirited Away. Why I waited so long to watch such a masterpiece is beyond my comprehension

That is a great film. I've just started watching Shinsekai Yori, or From the New World. Only three episodes in but it seems interesting so far
