Last night I completed Death Stranding. Beautiful game with a touching story, I thoroughly loved it. I'm going to move onto Metal Gear Solid V next.

I recently finished Paper Mario 64. It really has aged quite well for a game that came out in 2000. :3

I am about to finish Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. Really enjoying it so far. I got it on the Nintendo Switch when it was on sale for Christmas/Holiday sale.

René and I have been playing 7 Wonders Duel and just started playing its first expansion Pantheon.

I really like the base game. The expansion doesn't feel as balanced and adds complexity without much benefit, but is interesting nonetheless.

The sandbox in that game is meticulous. There are so many "I can't believe that worked" tricks.

Borderlands 3, I tried playing assassins creed odyssey but it's just not the same as the older assassin creed games, they changed way too much.

Monster Hunter World, I just reached master rank 100 and I'm also really loving the light bow gun atm. It's a nice change in play-style from the longsword.

Got some of the old Spyro games on the play station 4. I’ve remembered playing them and creating them.

That’s awesome. The friend that I am living with had got a Nintendo switch with his tax returns. Mainly playing Pokémon but I plan on buying some games like Mario and donkey Kong

I’ve been play testing the Icegale Tower, a dungeon I just finished designing for my RPG game. It’s the ninth dungeon that I finished. Once I get the bugs I come across fixed I can get to work on the next city that’s in the area.

I feel accomplished. :D

I've been alternating between Kenshi and Pathfinder: Kingmaker.

I've been trying to get that RPG fix while avoiding too much info about Baldurs Gate 3. I'm hyped for it, but, perhaps less so, after learning the game would have turn based combat.

What’s wrong with turn based combat? Personally I think turn based combat is the most wonderful. You can take all the time you need to make your choices. :D

I get the appeal, I really do, it works wonderfully in final fantasy games for example, it also isnt completely out of place in CRPG's using DnD rulesets, or those based on them. But I find it breaks game pacing way too much. It's also incredibly slow.

I found myself spending 30mins on big fights in Original Sin 2 :wide-eyed:

I sadly dont have as much time as I would like to game, I find it makes these epic rpg's nearly impossible to enjoy like I used to, because I have to play in hundreds of increments here and there.

Atleast with real time with pause, like the original Baldurs gate games, combat moves along at a more agreeable pace.

I also find it alot more exciting. I never thought I'd opt for action over strategy in such games, but I guess Ido these days.

I blame Pillars of Eternity 2, it had both option, I went with TB to start with and found that the combat, like the rest of the game, was boring. I switched to RTwP and suddenly, atleast the combat was more interesting.

DoS 2 also played it's part, as previously mentioned.
