:werd: I came on the forum and I was going to post the same thing.

Their odds of winning with the bookies are 4/7, so it's basically a dead cert now.

We deserved so much better than where we placed. The new voting system is so much better though, even if it's completely fucking bizarre. WTF? Poland?

Me and my friends liked the fact that Australia were denied the chance to win. We really didn't want them to win!

Agree on our result though. It's pretty ridiculous, but at least we had some false hope along the way.

I completely agree with this. I also feel sorry for Dami Im and Australia as she had a big lead in the jury votes. It is really interesting to see the huges differences between the jury and televoting results, that was so INTENSE!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Christ almighty all that is holy. This was fucked up as shit. My worst nightmare.

The only good thing - Lithuania did well. Oh and the new voting is exciting. Also... general public sucks dick.

EDIT: It was interesting to see Poland get so many votes. I voted for Australia and Lithuania as promised. Even if it did fuck all. Because none of our public votes went to Lithuania. We gave 12 points to Serbia.

Lots of Lithuanians and Poles in the UK vote for their home countries. Happens every year...

The 'WHAT?' was for Poland, who despite doing terribly with the juries, did very well with the public vote beating literally everyone except Russia and Ukraine. I just couldn't believe that

Now that I think of it, Poland got the most YouTube views leading up to the contest. I guess people just didn't really expect much to come out of their song.

Oh my god. That was so dramatic for me.

As you guys know, I enjoy a bit of a gamble on this. At the start of the week, I got odds of 17.00 on Australia to win, and I put £12.50 on it. So that is £200 if they win. Australia's odds dropped to 1.12 when they dominating it with the Jury vote, and I thought... hold on a minute, it can all change right at the end when the Televoting is announced. So I decided to cash out for £190.

At the same time, I noticed that Ukraine were 80.00, which didn't seem right to me at all. People were assuming it was all over and that Australia had won it. All I can assume is that they didn't understand how much it could change at the end. So I decided to put £2 on that.

Despite my win on Ukraine, money aside, I am disappointed that Australia didn't win as I did love the song. Still though, Ukraine is a heartfelt song and I'm glad Russia didn't win - purely because I felt like there was zero creativity there. Was all about the effects and trying to emulate Mans from last year in their own way. Did not like it at all.

I enjoyed that Eurovision though! Considering I didn't love many songs this year.

Idk how many people on here watched it but GTF's chatroom was really busy. We should try and bring GFO together in future for one night! :)

It as very exciting!
I´m glad that the Ukraine won.
I didn´t want Australia to win.
Definitely never thought Russia would win, I still don´t know why so many thought they would?

The Dutch guy wasn´t half as spontanious as in the semi final. I was disappointed.
