Oooh. I like this one a lot. This year is going to be quite interesting. Cute guys and really good music. At least from what I've heard (I only listened to a few songs because I don't want to spoil the fun). Can't wait.

I've actually listened to a few songs a bit early this time...

Am I the only one that quite likes the Russian entry?

Also... WTF is with Swedish entry? I can't decide if I like it or not. It's a bit weird to be honest. But he is cute.

Yes! It's totally better when you listen in advance. It gives the songs a bit of time to grow on you.

I'm going through them all eventually and I haven't gotten around to Russia yet. I'm saving him for later. I hated Sweden at first, but I think I like it now. Norway is the best Nordic country this time though. As for the Balkans? It's Serbia all the way!

Sweden is my favourite of the ones I've listened too. (Not just because of the cute guy singing it :shifty:)

It's something quite unique and different from what you would normally hear at Eurovision.

But it spoils all of the fun. I've just listened to 5 or 6 songs anyways. So it's not the end of the world.

I actually decided that I like Sweden's entry. It won't win this year, but it is a nice song. It just takes a bit before you start liking it.

I really like the UK though. It's one of my favourites. And I still think that Australia has a good chance of winning.

Also... Donny Montell has turned into quite a hottie in the past few years. I mean he was cute in 2012 already. But now? Hot.

Haha. I thought you were more into twinks, but I guess he can count as a muscular twink. I'm definitely pleased with his...er, progress since 2012.

Actually, there's quite a slideshow of hot guys this year. Lithuania, Russia, Hungary, France and Latvia to say the least. It's all about the EuroVISION this May. :awesome:

So it turns out that Romania has been kicked out of this year's contest, because their broadcaster hasn't been paying its fees to the EBU. In a way I can see the sense behind that decision, but it's quite harsh on the artist given the contest is in three weeks and he's been promoting his song across Europe.

Well this was interesting!

On one hand it wasn't as good as I was expecting it to be (second semi seems more interesting) but it had a few surprises as well.

The ones that I liked:
- The Netherlands
- Hungary
- Croatia
- Austria
- Russia
- Cyprus
- Iceland
- Estonia (mostly because of the guy, not so much the song)

Staging this year seems a bit poor if I am completely honest. Or the stage hasn't been properly used yet. Also... what were the producers smoking during the show? The mess with the titles of the countries was really just a big no-no.

The biggest surprise of the evening was actually Austria. It is a brilliant song and the staging was really cute. I was not expecting it to be so good. It certainly skyrocketed into my favourites.

I think I will be voting for Sweden on Saturday actually. Or maybe the UK. Unless there is something that I am not expecting in there somewhere.

I'm really pleased that Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic and Cyprus made it through.

In a mean way I'm also pleased that Greece didn't qualify. It was a shit song, but I was worried they would make it just because they always do. Interesting that Bosnia missed out too, especially since they stayed away from the contest for three years only for this to then happen. Makes you wonder whether they will bother returning next year.

I watched it on youtube.
I really liked the Netherlands.
Friend of mine just told me the guy is bisexual and polyromantic...
That´s a bonus.

Looking forward to the second semi final.

Lots of people seemed to like the Dutch entry. It's quite unexpected because a lot of the fans who have been following this for months (including myself) weren't sure whether he would qualify for the final.

Maybe he is a dark horse...
