But... but... it has James Franco in it!

Even James Franco couldn't save it. The only time I found Franco attractive is when he tries to pull off the James Dean look.

You see, I like James Franco, I don't think he is the most drop dead gorgeous guy, but theres something about his demeanour, his character that I like.

I watched this movie finally. My brother has been suggesting it to me for a long time now. And.. I really liked it.

I love heist movies but hate action movies. At least the way over the top ones. This is a mix between the 2 but with a "usual suspects" feel to it. ( another film I was reluctant to watch but enjoyed. )

Like the name suggest its about ( a very cute, cute) guy named "baby.. And well Hes a driver lol. But in the movie he's a get away driver employed by a group of bank theives. It follows the standard formula. Kid is a really good driver and wants out. Gang leader needs him and forces him to stay.

What I didn't expect was the use of music in the film. The music is a character by itself. And is really our only connection to baby. I know it's why I thought he was cute. :keke: lol. They explain at some point that he has some hearing problem and the music helps him or some shit.

It was alot better then I expected and had an awesome soundtrack. The music usually interacts with the scenes in the movie. Like a bell in a song will lead into a security alarm going off.

It's got comedy, action, good music, a decent script, and Good acting.
Its kinda like a mix between point break and grand theft auto ( the movie) or gone in sixty seconds.

I kinda wish I went in to it with an open mind. Cause I really didn't want to watch it at first. But it was pretty good. And at some point I'll give it a second watch.

Recently watched Prisoner of Azkaban in 4K. Definitely the best Harry Potter film. Cuarón ought to have finished the whole series.

Finally watched Moana. It was really enjoyable and felt like a breath of fresh air for a mainline Disney cartoon; Pixaresque.

The sound effects are way too loud. Actual veterans of the Dunkirk Evacuation even said the bombs weren't as loud in real life.

Otherwise a great film, as usual with Nolan.

So, I'm using Letterboxd a lot later to keep an updated watchlist and marking down the movies I've already seen, and everyone seems to be talking about this new horror film "Us." Has anyone here seen it already? I probably will have to wait until it comes out online, because I can't afford the movies right now lol.

They are quite loud, but also quite good. It’s really a perfect movie for testing sound systems. Especially the subwoofers.

Other than that it really is a great movie. Also... Fionn Whitehead.

I saw "The life and death of John F. Donovan" it is pretty good. Did any of you saw it ?

Also saw "Boy erased", I liked it even though it have bad reviews. It's not perfect but still nice to see.

Not a film though  .

I think I prefer The Pacific over it though. Although both were awesome.

I haven't felt good all day so I re-watched the sleep away camp trilogy. :awesome:

I've forgotten how funny they were.

Just discovered they made a part 4 in 2012. I'm sure it's trash but still want to see it.

Now I really want to watch the slumber party massacre series.

So many great slasher films came out in the '80s. :)

It’s not really a film, but it’s just over an hour long and it’s on Netflix so just go watch it.

Hannah Gadsby’s Nanette

Its a stand-up comedy special that manages to be completely unexpected and genuine and profoundly emotional and intellectual. It’s even LGBT-centric. Go watch it. It’s beautiful. Everyone should watch it.
