First Song In A While

So basically it goes like this.

One of my greatest passions in life is singing. I have been singing and performing for over 20 years and it was something I really used to enjoy. However 2 years ago I started to lose my voice and confidence, My job requires a lot of heavy use with my voice and I found that I could not sing like I used too, it was unstable, wobbly, raspy and I could only sing one song before it sounded like it was singing against a cheese grater. I lost all confidence and gave it up.

Over the last year I have been battling with severe anxiety and depression and have been off work for most of the last few months. I decided that maybe singing would be an outlet again to improve my mood. So this week I gave it a go and I did a cover of Recovering by Celine Dion. I did this song because the words really spoke to me even though it is actually about the death of a loved one. The voice is wobbly and a shadow of its former self but I wanted to share it. Be kind haha :)

That was fun! I really enjoyed it! You probably sound better than 99% of the people on here! You'll always be better than someone and there will always be somebody better than you. As long as you enjoyed it then that's all that matters. Slow songs are hard to sing so props to you! That was beautiful :P
