Confused Relationship

Unread postby mvsblogs » 29 June 2020, 16:11

I don’t know how to start this. I have been in a relationship with an amazing guy for some time, and from day to day, I am developing more feelings for him. I met him on Tinder. BTW I live in the Middle East so it is pretty hard to meet anyone, especially in this region. Since I am new in this country, he was taking me out to museums, malls, and other places. We have spent a lot of time together before sleeping together.

During our first date, he has mentioned that he told himself that he will never ever date anyone else because of his ex, but recently he after some time recovered from heartbreak and felt ready. For me, this is my first relationship, so I said I don’t want things to go fast.

Recently, he said that he is questioning his sexuality, that he is getting nightmares about his last breakup, and asked me for my opinion if I would love to continue to be friends with him. Since he told this, I got depressed a lot and my psychiatrist had to increase the dosage of my antidepressants. I don’t know if I can be friends with someone that I loved and slept with.

I really need some help from you guys. Because I think he just wants to break up and gives these excuses.

As long as you dont make it clear you will keep overthinking. If you feel comfortable with him ask directly if he is ready for a relationship or no, or maybe he just needs more time to recover. But if he says he just doesnt want relationship, then surely it will be hard to take him as a friend (Judging subjectively). But generally the key is to make things clear, what you say here sounds like you assumed that he wants to break up, but assuming leads to overthinking and may also lead to make bad decisions.

P.S. I am from central asia (almost same as middle east) so I understand you, buddy keep strong. Hopefully one day the whole world will be more positive towards lgbt friends
Unfortunately the world tend not to accept the ones who don't look or behave like majority.
