Confusing Gazes!

Unread postby Leb_Guy » 18 March 2019, 02:55

Hello everyone,
I hope that you could help me with some advice. And sorry in advance for my weak English.
Lately, I moved to a new apartment on the first floor, the windows of which overlook a coffee-shop where a super cute waiter works. Ever since I moved here the gazes didn't stop. Every time I leave or enter the building I notice the waiter is looking at me, and sometimes I stand by my window to smoke a cigarette and he keeps looking up every now and then. That is really confusing to me, as I am not sure whether he's looking at me because he likes me or for any other reason, especially that the other day I said hi to him, while I was walking by the coffee shop coming from work, but he simply didn't reply or anything.
I really like the guy, but why he keeps looking at me? Does he like me? Or he's just some kind of a psychopath or something? LOL. How can I find out?
I'm thinking about going down to the coffee shop for a cup of coffee and try to talk to him, but actually I have no idea what to say!!
Please help!

Go and talk to him tell him you have noticed him looking at you he could be just as nervous as you be honest and bring the subject up slowly if he says no don't feel down about it you asked feel proud about the fact you asked we all get nervous

I agree with Stephen! This sounds like a great start of a movie. I enjoyed imagining you smoking at your balcony.

Also, your English is great. Don't worry about it.

Thank you Stephen68 for the advice. Today I had a cup of coffee down in that coffee shop, unfortunately, another waiter served my table. The guy kept looking at me as usual and he looked very nervous. I tried to say something when I was leaving, as he was standing by the door, but he ignored me and left the spot pretending that he had to serve someone in the room.
I have the impression that he is experiencing such feelings for the first time, and he doesn't know how to handle them, and this makes the situation even more complicated and confusing for both of us.

hahaha this is too cute! Yeah, I agree he's probably really nervous. Good thing you live right in front of the coffee shop, it completely makes sense for you to be there often. He's gonna have to face the music at some point.

Being his place of work, he may be rather uncomfortable about it in that setting. Try catching him leaving and say "hey, want to go grab a beer someplace" (substitute what works for you). <- Kind of the leap, don't just jump approach. XD

Good idea ... but the problem is that he keeps avoiding any kind of exchange with me. He seems to only enjoy looking at me LOL!
I think that he's super shy and introverted, and I don't want to bother him anymore by trying to talk to him, although I like the guy so much :(
