Ex vs New Bf

Unread postby Sean410 » 24 May 2020, 20:48

Howdy folks, first time posting here and I’m super glad to have found this forum. My situation is a little complicated but I’ll try to make it short and sweet. So my ex and I have a lot of history but we are complicated, we are both very much in love with each other but we just now re-confessed that. I’d love to be with him again but I just got into a new relationship. I’m not sure what to do. What would you guys do?

You summarized it way too much, we don't know anything about either of these guys. But assuming you have more intense feelings for the ex-boyfriend, you should probably at least leave your current boyfriend, since you can already tell your feelings about him aren't as intense.

Then, you need to evaluate whether or not what made you and your ex break up in the first place is something that will happen again. If it is, then maybe it might not be worth it. If you think it's in the past or that it can be managed, then maybe there's room for a second run.

Well to try and keep it short and sweet, my ex and I were together for 2 years about. We were still maturing and made some mistakes so we separated. We both grew out of certain habits and besides them are actually really compatible. My new boyfriend and I have only been together a week and it seems to be moving a bit too quick and we shouldn’t have even made it official but he’s also a really nice guy. I can genuinely say what I did that affected my relationship with my ex is in the past. But my feelings for my ex are super intense and my current bf feels more like puppy love.
