I need help with my future boyfriend

Unread postby iamlonely99 » 24 April 2021, 23:12

Hey guys i hope you all doing well and everyone is safe. So a week ago i met someone on tinder and we started chatting and then continued our conversation on instagram. Then on monday he asked me out but i refused because i am afraid of covid ( a few days after monday i went back to my family and i will spent the nex to two weeks until May 10 there so i am very afraid since my mom and dad are very sensitive and high risk, this maybe a bit paranoid but thats not a point). I refused to go out with him by saying that my week was full with college stuff which actually is not a lie. I tried to have a conversation on that monday but he left me on read.
So what do i do now? Do i text him that i am not in the city for the next 2 weeks and tell him when i am back? Do i text him just to have a conversation? How do i handle the situation? Help me please! For any clarification ask me thanks!

I don't think you can do much about it. You feel you have to be very careful about the covid, and as it is your right, most people realize the situation will not change before a lot of time. So if you told me we wouldn't meet before 6 months I would also lose interest.

Maybe now is not the best time to look for someone for you. Especially for your family.

Yes i get what you say and its true...But do you think 2 weeks its too much? Also should i text him sometime now and tell him that i am looking forward to meeting him? Also next week my family is getting vaccinated so i think is quite safe to meet him

I would suggest you be honest with him, especially in this case that you care about your parents' health. If he's still not interested in your truth, then not much you can do about it
