Involved with Married (Open) Guy: Need Etiquette Advice

Unread postby ACB2020 » 1 May 2020, 10:52

I'm a gay man and for a few months I've been seeing a guy who is in an open throuple (husband and boyfriend). Everyone knows what is happening and we're not currently having sex but have in the past and plan to again in the future - with everyone's blessing. It's more than just sex.

I feel super awkward about how to interact with the husband and bf. I already met both (but only in a friendly/social setting) and they were lovely. But, I'm new to this situation so I'm unsure how to act. Is there any etiquette rule I should be aware of? I want to avoid the situation where this goes wrong, ends, and I'm left both missing the guy and feeling as though I have a bad reputation in the community.

Anyone been in a similar situation? Any advice? :)

It’s hard to tell. Everyone is different. I assume you guys won’t get jealous of each other sharing the same man. Then, they’re just like normal friends.
