Looking for advice

Hi everyone, I’m new here and looking for some dating advice, I do need to go into a little bit of a background about me. Back when I was 20-21 I was a really skinny twink, and I don’t mean this as a brag but when I’d walk into a gay bar/club all the guys would turn their heads to look at me I think I was really attractive, to the point where I was having 4-5 dates a week with a different guy each! I met a guy who I fell madly in love with, he didn’t tell me this but apparently he had a kink for fattening boys? I’m not kink shaming but I feel like he should’ve told me when we first started dating, anyways he’d always buy my food, I grew up extremely poor so I really can’t say no to free food. He took advantage of that and I gained about 40 pounds. 2 years go by, things didn’t work out and we break up.I took some time to myself afterwards and stopped dating for about a year, since then I have not been able to find a single date or even a guy who’s interested in me. My face really hasn’t changed much at all and you really can’t tell I gained much weight (it does help that I lost about 25 pounds since then) and my personality is still the same exact thing but I’ve been so unlucky. I’m not even a picky person, I don’t have a type at all but everyone seems to be only interested in hooking up with me but not dating me. What am I doing wrong?

To say what's wrong with you I would suggest might not be the question that's going to work best. I'd say perhaps ask WHO are you? You've talked about how you looked and how much security you had from that in finding men and feeling appreciated. What else is there? What do you value and want from life? What do you do and are interested in?

It might be just the process of finding something of yourself and making something of that for others to see too?
