relationship guidance?

Unread postby Jackel145 » 14 May 2021, 03:11

Hi there,

I was hoping i could get some relationship advice… I’ve been “seeing” this guy since November, as in, we go on legit dates almost every week and often times hang out without hooking up, but we do have.. relations.. from time to time.

I’d like to see more of him, like more than once a week, but i’m afraid if i press the issue i will scare him away. All the forums say, “if he’s not giving you all his attention leave him alone,” but that seems unrealistic. i mean. we both have lives and see each other when we can. but i can tell i’m not a priority, where as i’d make the time to see him.

I suppose my question is, how do i broach the subject tactfully and not scare him away and come off clingy. i’m not even sure i want a relationship, but i’d like to talk about it with him and see what he’s feeling. any advice is greatly appreciated.

I don't think it's necessary to try to put a label and define the relationship quite yet - relationships have this weird quantum thing where they collapse if you try to observe them too soon. But you could try some things, like inviting him to stay the night or make plans together that span the weekend... You want to spend more time with him so try to find things that make use of the time.
