Who are you out to?

Didn't you come out to your father by emailing him, by which he was in the room next to you?
That's right
What happened? Details please.
I came out as gay as a side-note in an email to my dad when I was 16, 8 years ago. He then told my mum, grandma, aunts, uncles, people from church, etc. They were all completely fine with it, except for a few cousins who later turned around (and one of whom turned out to be bisexual himself

Coming out as an atheist was a lot harder.
Coming out as a drug user was surprisingly easy.

Parents

I'm out to everyone who asks. I tried to make a point of it when I was in Uni, to get it over with in the first few weeks. It didn't work. There were even girls who had crushes on me.

I mean, I'm not super-obvious, but one would think that if I'm making a point of it, then it's noticeable. SMH.
New motto on the subject: whatever.

Sebbo, you have no idea how hard it was to make my coursemates understand that I am gay. They just wouldn't get it...

Did he suck off René?
lol wut?
He's just really gay-acting/looking. I think he's still ashamed of being entirely gay so he's coming out as bi.

Heh, I came out to my mom as a sidenote in an email also. I was just like "Oh, btw, I'm gay."

Mostly everyone except the people back home. Family and friends included.
I feel terrible for not opening up to the people that have known me the longest, but they have expectations and I don't want to destroy their image of me, even if it must inevitably happen.

Re: Who are you out to?
I don't see the point to come out to anyone unless I'm flirting with them so no one I currently talk to

Everyone... well, there's probably some people who don't know me that well who don't know, because it's not usually in my introduction, but it's not like it's a secret.

In my opinion this is silly. I know a couple masculine gay men but I also know quite a few effeminate heterosexual men. I can't speak for yourself, but I find it ironic when others say they don't enjoy being judged on the outside yet go out of their way to judge others in the same manner they don't wish to be judged in.
Well, there's also the fact he used to say René was sinful and such for being gay, suggesting strong inward issues of his.

Re: Who are you out to?
My friends and people who asked. Not sure if my sister knowing from the looks of my computer wallpaper, books and porn in my hard drive are considered "out"? Cause I'm just like, pssshh I don't need to say I'm gay cause you very well know that I am. It just that we don't really communicate
