Look just let me play out my fantasy of this humiliation conga for Trump continuing, okay? He's already got Covid, he's just lost his job and in a couple months he's going to evicted. His wife divorcing him and taking his son away is just the logical next step, followed by a stint of alcoholism and then suicide.

You’re right. Having to move the family back to what is very possibly the most valuable residential apartment in the most expensive residential city in the world will totally make Barron disown his billionaire father who would otherwise obviously ensure he had an overpaid job in the Trump organisation for life. Just look at how badly life has gone for Donald Jr and Ivanka.

Why must you take away my joy?

I know Trump is still going to live a life of extravagant luxury and still have annoying amounts of influence on politics until he finally dies of that long-overdue heart attack but it's nice to for a moment imagine him actually being truly miserable, after how long he's spent making me feel truly miserable.

I don't get a lot of victories, I'm content to enjoy this one until reality sets back in.

As I commented on another thread, I'm not happy. Not that I like or approve of Trump--I don't--and in many ways I welcome the change. BUT, at the same time, the Senator from MBNA has a long, terrible record of supporting a long list of bad ideas (like supporting Iraq), and he has favored corporations over people. I have no reason to believe he'll be the modern FDR like some of his apologists say. I don't think he'll be the leader we need. Things have been bad for a long time for normal people--and they will only get worse with the impacts of the pandemic. It's very likely he'll set the stage for someone so horrible that we all miss Trump.

Indeed, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see something like the scene pictured in this meme:

One thing I wonder about... Trump would be eligible to run in 2024. It would be interesting if he ran again in 2024, and--because of the Senator from MBNA turned President--and other worthless establishment Democrats--if things won't be so bad that Trump will in an absolute landslide.

And don't expect Trump will go away. I've heard warnings from real commentators who expect he'll remain very visible.

I doubt Trump will be able to retain even a semblance of presidential aura once he is out of office. I suspect he will alienate all but the most ardent devotees by the time 2024 comes around, just by being his impulsive, neurotic self. He won't be able to help himself and he will no longer be shielded by his position as POTUS, from some of the consequences of his ill conceived actions.

But four years of impotence? I think we will see that and a continued slide towards social inequality, albeit, perhaps in a more generalised fashion and at a slower pace than under Trump.

but taken seriously? I doubt it. MSM has blatantly gone out of its way to ignore him in the last few hours, which they should have done years ago.

You cucks could learn a thing or two on decency from Trump supporters. :oface:

I love how republicans always use liberal musicians as their mantra.

Also, when they use social networks and technology created by liberals and complain that the networks are left-leaning. Go find a conservative created network! And I'm not even talking about facebook because who knows about Zuckerberg.

Biden was not my first pick in the Democratic primary. But if the Democratic party needs to do some internal soul-searching or realigning or whatever else, and apparently everyone thinks it does, then just on the basic level it's better to be able to do that while you're not also actively fighting the immediate existential threat of Trump's wannabe-fascist bullshit every single day.

Do I think Biden is going to be some revolutionary amazing top-tier President? No. But hopefully with him steadying the ship for 4 years the Democrats can get their shit together, stop tearing chunks out of each other, and start getting the ball rolling on someone who can be that kind of President.

Mitch McConnell still controls the senate. Joe won’t be having a remarkable presidency. The main improvement will just be that he’s not making inflammatory public statements every day. American democrats are weeping in the street with happiness at having a president that doesn’t use all-caps in Tweets 3-dozen times a day. It really matters to them, not the actual administration of the country.

It's so rare that I'm not the most cynical person in a political discussion... this thread makes me feel like the starry-eyed naive optimist and I do not like that. At all.

Problem is...we desperately need more than steadying a ship. That might have been OK a year ago. But with realities of the pandemic, we need real leadership and real solutions. Which we won't get.

And the Democrats aren't interested in anything better than the Senator From MBNA. He was not the first choice--but met the most important criteria: keep a progressive out of the White House. It's worth noting: Biden was not doing well in primaries. Sanders was. Then, the remaining establishment Democrats conveniently left the race, coalesced behind the Senator From MBNA. Meanwhile, Warren stayed in the race, and stole votes from Sanders. So the establishment, once again, was able to get what they want.

There will be no thinking or aligning. The party, as it stands, wants the status quo. And they'll publicly be using the argument that because the Republican Lite nominee won this time, America wants Republican Lite Democrats.

Absolutely true. A lot of people a hell of a lot more concerned about mean tweets than they were the fact that we don't have healthcare as a right, just to name one issue. Now they can rest easy, and get back to the way their lives were before President Mean Tweet took office.

Nah I think now this election is over I'm just never gonna look at this thread again. Seems like an easier way to keep my sanity, for the moment anyway.

Trump Derangement Syndrome. Good luck with daily riots, cucks. :oface: Antifa and MS-13 are going to take over security after you defund police and multiply all those homeless illegal aliens. You could’ve had it all: jobs, growth, law and order, constant winning, a compassionate First Lady. But noooooo.

I voted on all of them. I went with the options that were the most deplorable.

Okay, did anyone notice this?

I feel like we didn’t focus enough on the fact that someone in the Trump campaign meant to schedule the “four seasons hotel” but definitely accidentally scheduled this “four seasons landscaping” store and they had to follow through with it. Veep was not this good.
