I guess I'm independent but it's just another way of saying I have no fucking clue. People who base their votes solely on things like gay marriage and legalizing weed are really kinda dumb.

Which one is the option where I'm not a Separatist? I'm pretty sure that's how politics go down in Quebec...

Re: Political Affiliations ?
Are you asking our political affiliations towards the American politics or in general? Cause those are basically American political parties.
If it's American politics, I would say Democratic party. I'm a liberal guy, so I emphasized more towards social issues cause those are the essential foundation that a country needs to progress. For a supposed progressed country, USA is way behind other European countries when it comes to social issues (equality, education system, etc). The whole Republican's ideology of running the country like a business - all about the money, materials and status - just not what I believe in.

I'm way super liberal, but I at least like to think I'm educated about the issues, so it's not just indoctrination. I hate the loud, dumb types who trumpet their political leanings and aren't at all aware of the issues.
In other words, I don't care how you lean, as long as you're polite and educated about it. If not, don't worry--just shut up about politics!

I'm left-libertarian. If I had to belong to a political party, it'd be the green parties in the US and UK; in the Netherlands it'd be Partij voor de Dieren (Party for the Animals) or GroenLinks (GreenLeft).

Don't trash something without justification. Libertarians, most notably on the political stage Gary Johnson and Ron Paul, are not nut jobs.
This nation was founded on land theft, genocide, and slavery...All to convert life into commodities for the accumulation of wealth by a few.
If those in charge of our society - politicians, corporate executives, and owners of press and television - can dominate our ideas, they will be secure in their power. They will not need soldiers patrolling the streets. We will control ourselves.

Re: Political Affiliations ?
I'd describe myself as independent I guess, I have a relatively complex view on both the economy and social issues, and no political party really fits the bill for me. If I had to chose either left or right, then I'd have to go slightly left but it wouldn't fulfill my beliefs one bit.
I'm very liberal in terms of my social views, especially when it comes to the law and the government keeping their noses out of peoples' business where it isn't a threat to society (and I count guns, but not gays, as a threat to society).
Economically, I'm a lot more complicated and still finding my feet. I'd say I'm a Capitalist as opposed to a Socialist (though both terms are very loosely defined) but I definitely believe in keeping core public services available to the public (of which I count healthcare, or in the UK, the NHS) and any moves that increase social mobility are generally good, in my view.
What I hate about the UK (and the US, I guess), is the 2 party system. I wish we could have proportional representation and get rid of stupid tactical voting and make politics a lot more competitive. There's a real lack of incentive for politicians to do a good job when they know their party is pretty much guaranteed to be in power again within the next 15 years. It's essentially a Duopoly.
They still have supporters?
