AND on Steve Bannon

AND on Steve Bannon
Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my Presidency. When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind. Steve was a staffer who worked for me after I had already won the nomination by defeating seventeen candidates, often described as the most talented field ever assembled in the Republican party.
Now that he is on his own, Steve is learning that winning isn’t as easy as I make it look. Steve had very little to do with our historic victory, which was delivered by the forgotten men and women of this country. Yet Steve had everything to do with the loss of a Senate seat in Alabama held for more than thirty years by Republicans. Steve doesn’t represent my base—he’s only in it for himself.
Steve pretends to be at war with the media, which he calls the opposition party, yet he spent his time at the White House leaking false information to the media to make himself seem far more important than he was. It is the only thing he does well. Steve was rarely in a one-on-one meeting with me and only pretends to have had influence to fool a few people with no access and no clue, whom he helped write phony books.
We have many great Republican members of Congress and candidates who are very supportive of the Make America Great Again agenda. Like me, they love the United States of America and are helping to finally take our country back and build it up, rather than simply seeking to burn it all down.
Please keep them coming guys!

Of course, back when Bannon first left the White House, the spin that he was going to work for Trump "from the outside." People honestly believed that because anyone who voted for him is utterly incapable of reading the writing on the wall.
Wouldn't it be great if Bannon took the bait? Fox News et al. will undoubtedly back the president's perspective. It would be easy for Bannon to lean back into his anti-establishment roots, and he would surely take a chunk of the alt-right with him. Trump is a sellout and Jews command the White House! There goes the most festering part of his base.

Money and big business command the White House. Have for years and this is nothing new with the Trump administration. Anyone that had the delusion that Trump was going to change that from before he was elected, is not horribly bright politically wise.

People who voted for him didn’t do so out of economic anxiety. That much is a myth.

Re: What Trump Said Thread
Both of these gems were said in a row this morning:

First, I can only hope that one day I will be important enough to have a pet nickname from Trump...Sloppy Bannon or Crooked Hillary
Second, did Trump really just diss the FBI again today???
Third, if the book is phony, then why did he make such a harsh statement against Bannon when his quotes from the book became public? And why didn't Bannon deny the quotes if they're phony?

Ben. wrote:"I did not have sexual relations with that woman."
It sort of seems Victorian now to be so shocked by such statements when comparing them to our present shitshow.

I'm almost completely certain that he was elected out of spite.

He was. It was a knee-jerk reaction to Obama being president for 2 full terms. It's been 100 years since more than 2 different presidents of the same party have been elected consecutively (and at the time, political parties were very different than what they are now). "The grass is always greener" mentality ensures a republican will come fuck up any progress a democratic president has made.
