The aspect you're missing is that people are different and attracted to different things.

I'm assuming that by "skinny" though you mean more like toned-skinny, the guy still looking healthy and like he works out?

I think everyone is attracted to healthy-looking bodies, real or perceived (and also symmetrical, proportionate facial features), even taking whatever "type" they might have into consideration. Someone might have a type, where things like the actual frame, build, height etc of the body is concerned (and also other things like racial phenotype and age), but generally people will like the best version of whatever their "type" is - meaning relatively in-shape, and again proportionate faces, clear glowing skin etc.

I love kinda short, stocky, broad-built guys, and also very hairy. That's probably the body type I respond best to. However I still like men with that body type to be in-shape and looking like they work out with it. Just like some straight guys might prefer slender, slim, tall, really leggy women (seems to be more popular among white men) while others might prefer a more curvy "thicc" type (seems more popular among black men), they'll still want her a relatively healthy weight and looking her best. Not dangerously underweight, or fat or anything.

So personally, I don't think beauty is subjective, not totally anyway. There's a list of pretty standard things that are considered "attractive" across the board, wherever you go and whoever you ask. I don't think these things are pulled from nowhere. Sometimes people are bullshitting I think. It's all "body positivity!!! everyone is equally beautiful!" until some hunky gym-fit bearded "daddy" walks in the room and suddenly everyone is salivating.

It's not for everyone but built guys definitely do it for me. I'm a tall skinny bottom myself so I like a guy who can dominate me physically and sexually. I do like toned guys as well, I even like skinny guys like myself but built is my preference.

Muscles do nothing for me. I like builds from lightly toned through slim to skinny (though without bones showing through!)
