Anal Fissure

Unread postby oaksboy » 10 March 2020, 22:31

Hey guys. So a week ago I had anal for the first time in a while. We used a lot of lube and there wasn't any pain or bleeding. A couple of days later I noticed I had a decent size cut coming out of the bottom of my hole. I was just wondering how common this is and is there a way to avoid it? It has progressively gotten worst in the past week.. now there are smaller cuts/sores that formed outside of my hole around the edges. I tried using this fissure oil from forces of nature since it had good reviews.. but I think that is what is causing a rash/cuts to form outside of my hole.

any insight on this would be great! I enjoy bottoming but it's not fun getting cuts that take weeks to heal!

That's why I go for drugstores rather than organic medicine lol.

It's not uncommon to experience rashes, but it's also not what should be happening, and there are steps to prevent it. Seeing a doctor is your best bet for good tips and substances that are sure to help you.

You might want to go to a doctor and get a prescription for some kind of cream or salve for that, especially if it’s getting worse.

What you're experiencing is painful to be sure. I'm hoping itll heal using the remedies already discussed here, however many times fissures can only be dealt with using surgery. The reason I'm posting this reply to you is I had this happen to me a little over a year ago. If the creams and ointments arent working, then you're going to need to see a doctor. Be sure to tell him about your sexual orientation and that you believe you got this through receptive anal sex, and that you would like to continue having sex this way post surgery. I didnt do this because I was embarrassed, and now, almost a year and a half later, I'm so tight Its very difficult to have anal sex with just about all but the thinnest of men. My point is that you need to find a doctor or surgeon you're comfortable with and have a Frank discussion about your sexual practices. There is a surgical clinic in San Francisco that caters to gay men and they specialize in these types of procedures. They shouldnt be too hard to find on the web. As I said earlier, I hope you heal normally without surgery. If you need to see a doctor however be honest with him. Hope all goes well.

*update*

So I went to the doctor today and he did an examination. He said he couldn’t see a fissure (although he only checked outside not inside of my rectum). He prescribed me hydrocortisone to help the small rash/cuts on the outside of my hole. Hopefully he’s right and everything will start to go back to normal soon. Still nervous to bottom again though.

I don't understand the hydrocortisone. Seems like that would just cause local suppression of the immune system, impair wound healing and cause thinning of the skin. I thought it's not supposed to be used anywhere near open wounds and is also not an appropriate treatment for most types of rash.

Maybe get a second opinion?

Hydrocortisone is not a treatment for sores. If you’re developing sores, you might need something like antibiotics. Oils don’t cause cuts. I’m not sure what caused the cuts you’re describing but I don’t think that’s a common occurrence. I agree with Rene. I believe it’s best to get a second opinion.
