Never. Or atleast, very rarely, is discussion a bad thing. It isn't always immediately helpful, but it is always acceptable.

Well, on another topic, our forum admins have made it clear that discussing (in terms I would describe as "normalizing") child sexual abuse is ultimately harmful to the site's well-being. So clearly, in that instance, there is a limit to when discussing something - in this case the idea that people might view child sexual abuse as acceptable - is helpful. It moves from helpful to harmful very quickly - and yet, people are only exchanging ideas, not little humans or even photos of them.

So, likewise, at some point discussing something like the final solution ceases being helpful, if, for no other reason, than so much discussion creates normalization. Another case in point: Iraqi WMDs. Too much discussion convinced everyone that they existed when they didn't.

No, I conclude that discussion is NOT free from harm.

hello
I'm 57 and going through this also, I have recently became friends with a 17 yr old and i am being beaten left and right about it. I have always been attracted to younger guys, IU have been with guy s my age and older but prefer younger. they say a young person does not have the thought process to make these types of decisions , but in this day and age the younger people are far more mature then i was at there age. so i say its ok to have and act on these feelings as long as your mindset can handle it.

Ah, so you're the Alcibiades to others' Socrates? Nothing wrong or shameful about that. I'd not worry terribly much over it.
