Chem sex

Unread postby Ubiquitous » 7 May 2019, 16:16

Hi guys,
for those who don't know what them sex is, there's a quote from first Google result:
Chemsex” is used in the United Kingdom to describe intentional sex under the influence of psychoactive drugs, mostly among men who have sex with men. It refers particularly to the use of mephedrone, γ-hydroxybutyrate (GHB), γ-butyrolactone (GBL), and crystallised methamphetamine.

I was told that also ecstasy counts.

Do you have any experiences with chem sex? Have you ever done it or heard about someone who has and shared some opinions with you?

Well, I have had sex while under the influence of ecstasy, but it wasn't that mindblowing. I have no desire to touch the rest of the stuff described there. It seems to me this kind of practice overwhelmingly leads people to addiction, STDs and unhealthy sexual activity.

Not that any drug (or alcohol) is good for you:

That's okay as a guideline — the vast majority of recreational drug use is definitely harmful — but it's not so black-and-white. For example:

  • Cannabis has potential negative and positive effects on health, but when used responsibly under the right circumstances, the positive effects can clearly outweigh the negative, and they can be directly life-saving.
  • A single low dose of a dissociative drug like ketamine can rapidly relieve crippling clinical depression for days or weeks in many patients who would otherwise be at high risk of suicide, without causing the (potentially very serious) side effects of standard antidepressants.
  • MDMA and psychedelics can facilitate psychotherapy, e.g. in people suffering from PTSD or depression.
  • Psychedelics like psilocybin and LSD have no known physiological harms, are non-addictive (or even anti-addictive), and can be used responsibly in ways that do not harm (or actually improve) mental health.

I wouldn't be quick to include any of the four drugs mentioned at the top of this thread in this list, but it should be noted that GHB and methamphetamine have recognised medical uses in the US and elsewhere and can be (and are) legally prescribed (brand names include Xyrem and Desoxyn, respectively) when a qualified physician believes there will be a net medical benefit.

(I plan to make a more on-topic reply later.)

Oh, that seems to have been largely sated by the uncounted drugs I/we have very carefully tried over the last 12 years (all of them immeasurably safer than crystal meth) :D

How was it? Did you notice a significant difference between being sober and weed, MDMA?

I don't do weed. Weed makes me nauseous and sometimes even puke. Being sober is nice and you are more in control and more mellow I should say? Ecstasy gives me an anxiety attack where Im curled up in a ball until I snap out of it somehow. It also makes the sex more frantic. It's hard to describe but you feel more of everything thats going on but at the same time you feel less? We also mixed ecstasy with meth so we did it for like 6-7 hours straight. It's all really a blur kinda.
