I think you’ll need to head to somewhere more urban. We gays are famously averse to living in the desert, bedouin style.

I hear that it's always better in bigger cities. There's some active gay scene in Egypt as I've seen some of them get arrested on the news. Personally I'd just do everything in my power to make as much money as possible and move somewhere. I'm sure there are even some LGBT non-profits that will get some people out of countries like yours..

No, that’s bum-fuck nowhere -BFN. This gentleman was talking about Egypt, which threw me.

My own scientific analysis of having watched God’s Own Country and Brokeback Mountain tells me that’s where the kinkiest, most violent gay sex happens.

Wait, is he literally in Egypt? I thought he just meant that as in being in the middle of no where.

Cyril300, can you please advise on which bum-fuck area you mean exactly? I think you'll get a more concise answer.

We are getting close to that here in the USA, unfortunately.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Egypt...

Ah, that makes moving much easier. If even Grindr can't survive in your rural area, it's because it's absolutely hopeless.

I HAVE BEEN MISLED. OPENLY MISLED.

There was me, assuming that you were essentially a Sandperson from Star Wars, being all charitable with my understanding. All the while there’s probably a major city you could easily move to, but you live in the woods.

I am owed compensation.

Add to that the fact that most rural areas in the U.S. are conservative and it makes meeting someone feel next to impossible even if it is for a quick hookukp.

Save money and get a job somewhere else. It might seem scary but it's possible. That's the only solution I can think of. Unless you're willing to try your luck with dating websites and Grindr. From what you're saying, that's probably not going to yield much of anything, so we're back to the moving suggestion.

Rural life isn't that bad. Sure if your single, it can be more difficult to find a partner.

That being said, in my day I've known some really hot bottom rural conservatives. They may be full of sh@#W$t politically speaking, but all it takes is a good enema to fix that problem.

I'm just not a city guy. I like my space with my guy, and our animals. I like larger areas mainly for ethnic restaurants. Luckily, I'm not far from a college town that has Indian, Middle Eastern, Greek, Thai, Vietnamese -- not to mention the standard Chinese and Mexican. However, that is what a vehicle is for. Boy do I miss my minivan. I now drive my partners trucks, so I guess that adds to the rural stereotype. If I had a job and was making money, I'd buy another used minivan.

PS: If I were in Egypt, I don't think it would matter if I was living in the dessert or in a city like Cairo. They aren't very LGBT friendly:

Yes I know, but I figured while the topic of Egypt is up, some may want to know that it doesn't matter rural/urban there. The culture there simply hates gays.

Note, I think bum fucking is wonderful. Nothing beats being inside a masculine, muscular, hairy man's behind as long as he is clean. So I'm sad to see bum fucking as negative term.

Seriously, I grew up in rural America. I am so ashamed of how conservative many of them turned, but there is beauty in the country side. Fuck their extreme views. (Note, I am a MODERATE -- not a liberal, and definitely not a conservative.) I've got my man, so I'm fine. I hope if you don't move you find a man who would stick by your side even if you do live out in the boonies.
