Noteworthy Grindr dialogues

Unread postby Eryx » 22 April 2019, 21:27

I've been a subscriber of /r/lolgrindr for a while now, and very often there are some really funny, weird or just... curious dialogues and profiles that people find and post. When I was single I used to find some interesting characters and some not so nice ones. Some of them generate a lot of discussion about what the app really is for, what is right or not to say or seek, etc. I thought that maybe it would be a fun thread to have here, so we can both share these finds and talk about them.

To start things off, below is the post that prompted me to bring the discussion here.

Why doesn't that guy just do the "traditional" thing and, yknow, go pick up a trashy chick from a night club?

This mess messaged me a few weeks ago;

Hahahahha oh God...

Now this one... I simply don't understand.

Translation:
I don't like men, please don't insist. I don't like to pay to be with anyone, never had any relations with men or trans. I'm on the app because I liked it, even though I'm not gay, and what I'm doing here is none of your business!
And yet, he has a profile picture and all. WTF.

Dude asked me what ethnicity I am so I screenshotted my profile which clearly states that I'm Asian and that's basically all they need to know but dude goes on to start sounding like the dialogue for the youtube video of What Kind Of Asian Are You?

I have a real issue with people who chat without reading the profile first. And lol, that's such an American thing to do!

Same! If you gave even a fourth of damn you would quickly scan their profile to see what's up. Don't attenpt to get me to spend time and energy to respond to you if you can't even read my profile.

This isn't grindr but a straight guy was hitting me up asking for ass pictures so it might as well be grindr.

Yeh. He was shooting some rifle and the kickback made the scope hit him in the face and he bled. That's what happens when you dont hold the gun right!

I've just had a rather awkward exchange which creeped me out a little but also made me laugh, here's how it went and yes I'm an awkward sod on there as often don't know what to say on there.

Be honest though, have any of you really turned down a hot guy because he was awkward on the app?
Blow: "Nowadays even Liam can release an album of his screechy vocals and it'll probably go #1..."
Ramzus: I can admit that I'm horny just about 24/7
homomorphism: I used to not think your name was deshay and that Erick was just being racist
Hunter: sometimes I think I was literally born to be a pornstar

I did once because he was only talking in single words and didn't express too much emotion for anything. It seemed like I was talking to someone completely detached from what was happening, so I could only imagine he was either high out of his mind or maybe even someone who wasn't gay trying to do something sketchy. But yeah, I get your point!

Hot, clean, safe but a little awkward, yeah I'm in. Hell that was a couple weekends back. Know how I said I'd never meet a hot gay guy into motocross (racing). Yeah, I was wrong, so wrong. Even had his number and checked flags tattooed on his forearm. He turned out to be an insatiable twink. It was a very long night. We grabbed a hotel room near where I was trail riding that weekend.

But like Eryx said, if I get the vibe something else is off, no way.
