That could be said of all jacuzzis. :P

I don’t think you can say that happens in most jacuzzis :nono:

Well I do work at a place which has one, and I’m sure it’s seen a little action...though I wouldn’t recommend it since there is a security camera in the pool.

Ah yes thanks, actually won’t get in pool or jakuzzi because of my hygiene obsessions. I’ve never been in a jakuzzi in my life because of that and haven’t been in a pool for more than 10 years, too :)

I’ll go to Pleasuredrome (still thinking about checking Sweatbox, too though)

That distinctive chlorine smell is actually the smell of reaction products from the chlorine reacting with organic substances. The stronger the smell, the dirtier the water.

I've never been to a bathhouse, is it worth it? Are guys willingly grabby-grabby?

You are the obvious choice to ask if strange men would willingly grab another strange man and whether that scenario presented good value for an undisclosed sum.

I would be more concerned if a guy was unwillingly grabby-grabby. Can a bathhouse refer a patient to psychiatry?

I judge public pools by how smelly they are.

I had a pool and insisted on maintaining the water myself. Almost always the strong smell is the result of chloramines:

Chlorine is used in pools and other chlorinated aquatic venues to kill germs, but when it binds to the body waste swimmers bring into pools (for example, sweat and urine) it can form chemicals called chloramines. Chloramines in the water, like dichloramine and trichloramine, irritate skin, eyes, and the respiratory tract (including the nose) when they off gas from the water and into the air above, particularly indoors 1-3. In addition, chloramines can also contribute to corrosion of metals around the aquatic venue and in air handling systems.

Hey all,
Since I've asked you and you guys politely replied, I think you deserve an update.
Today finally I felt brave enough and went to a gay bath house.

TL;DR It was actually okay.

Since I had a long Christmas break from my job, finally after all the christmas partying days, I came back home and though that I have couple of off days more and this is the best time to try this bath house. Since it's christmas time and weekend, I thought it could be crowded and it's the best time to do it. So I've prepared, and left home.

I've went to London Pleasuredrome. I haven't bring any towel or bags with me. They've provided two towels and a bracelet keys (yeah) for you for 18 pounds and I think it was a good deal, since the place was clean, and the facilities were decent. They have locker room, jakuzzi, two steam rooms, two saunas, several bed areas (some 'normal' and some for sex), a dark room, private and public showers, a tiny porn cinema, a tiny dark room and a full fledged bar.

First the bad stuff:
- Cinema was incredibly smelly, and couldn't step in.
- I haven't tried jakuzzi or steam rooms because of hygiene :) But I've seen used condoms on the ground in both steam and sauna rooms so thats a big no no.
- The private rooms for sex, are a bit smelly because of the plastic stuff on the ground. I didn't want to go inside, but I was a bit tempted though.

Okay stuff:
- Since it was christmas time and weekend, it was super crowded but the good looking 20-30 years old guys were more present than the older ones. I am super surprised since every comment and review on the internet saying otherwise. I saw more than 10 handsome and good looking guys. This is real.
- People were not pushy, I like it. I've been touched a couple of times but when I said no. they politely stepped back.
- They were cleaning the place every now and then. I mean I was inside for 3 hours and I've seen people mopping the same area for 3 times. That's a good sign for me.

What I did:
- I've went inside. Walked and explored the area for 30-40 mins, and learned what is happening around me. Hanged around private sex rooms area, with the other cruising guys but I was a bit shy to initiate something, even many people were giving me signs I just acted like I was not seeing them. Yeah, sorry.
- After 1,5 hours, I don't know how but I got the courage to enter dark room after seeing a nice looking black guy wandering around its door. Immediately started sucking the black guy and some other people joined. After having fun with couple of people, I've left a took a shower. Wandered around, watched people having fun around, then left.

Would I visit the place again? I don't think so. Was it like how I imagined it? Place was looking worse then I've imagined but the people were way better.

I liked having fun with several people, who were good looking and young like me while others were watching. I admit.

Wow that's a big post. Thanks for the replies and the courage again :)

hahaha from what you said I feel like there's an actual standard for gay saunas, because that's exactly all that they had in the ones I went to, down to the bracelet keys! Steam and sauna rooms are fine despite the used condoms, but I understand you have a thing with hygiene so I won't judge you for not entering. I wouldn't enter the jacuzzi either, even though I don't care about the whole bodily fluids thing, it's one thing to use a friend's house's jacuzzi, it's a whole different thing to use one in a place designed for sex! Yikes!

Hey René, nope I’m not :) I’m Turkish.
By the way I’ve just read about your health issue. It’s a bit late but sorry to hear that. Hope you’re far better now.

Ahh, I noticed some subtle clues that are also typical of someone whose native language is Dutch. I guess maybe Turkish has some similarities to Dutch when it comes to grammar :)

Unread postby Jonas.vos1234 » 3 January 2020, 08:55

Me and my boyfriend are in Berlin at the end of January. We are in our early 20s and would like to know when there are the most young people in "der Boiler". We are in Berlin from Saturday till Wednesday afternoon. We thought of Saturday, is that a busy day? Other tips are also welcome!
