I don't go to gay saunas that often, perhaps a couple of times a year. I prefer sessions when you can walk around naked rather than wearing a towel. I usually get my cock sucked, but rarely find the young guys I prefer fucking.

They seem to be very hit and miss and so not a reliable place to have a hookup (if thats what you are looking for) which for me I think is one of the worst things about them besides their price of entry.

The few times I've went to one have been out of loneliness and desperation and ok one time I get lucky and get with a guy around my age I like, but other times have found myself to be one of the very few people there and the youngest guy there out of a small crowd of older people. So on those occasions I've left feeling degraded, depressed and wondering why I put myself through this.

Despite that I still keep thinking of going back though just because of that one time.

Most other guys who have things better together than me probably have better ways of hooking up, which is why saunas aren't that popular, because other posters are right that they are usually smelly, poorly lit, unpleasant places.

Dress everyone up to look good, put drinks in their hand, play some music and you have a gay bar minus the repulsiveness.
