where to find gay mature men

where should i go online to find gay mature men? a lot of these matchmaking sites use really bad tactics to stay afloat. zoosk was a bit odd 1 match? i do like grindr but it can be so flaky. im 30 looking for ~55+ if that helps. would appreciate any criticisms or tips. irl too if everyone knows the Y is the place but me. i hope this is a good question here im new to boards

Even though I fit the demographic age, I have not found any Older LGBTQ+ websites nor do I use any dating/hookup sites, so I can't recommend for or against any of the websites that exist. I think the most frequently used term is "silver foxes". While this doesn't just apply to gay men, it does suggest sites that work to match older and younger. Maybe they match older with older as well, idk. I would suggest using that as a search term with specifics of what you are looking for: gay, lesbian, bi, hookup, relationship, etc.

Maybe someone else will have some suggests on specific sites. I'm sure there is also stuff going on on social media, but I don't know specific hashtags to try.

The other thing might be "gay daddy" or "gay grandpa" and similar stuff though that tends a bit more towards fetishes and roleplay type situations. No idea if that is or is not your thing and just mention it in case it is.

thanks to you both! Theres no real cruising scene in my town so its hard for people to find what they want, and i think stop trying. I could hang around all the gym lockerrooms trying to suss out any potential single grandpas but that seems cliche and maybe a bit odd outside a handful of amateur videos. Yeah, online (apps) is going to be a good place to start, but you might also look for places where silver daddies might be out doing their thing, especially if it also happens to be your thing. I've no idea if you're in a town of 200 or 200,000, so that does make a difference, but I know of a small town guy from near the California border who connected with a Silver Daddy in Portland for instance. So if you're advertising on an app or website, you might try stating your local community -- if that doesn't provide leads, try the local metro if you're willing to go there to meet up (even if that means getting stood up). If you do travel to meet someone, have a back-up plan to enjoy your time there if things don't work out.

Just keep in mind that "daddy" can carry additional meanings in the gay sphere, so check how best to communicate your actual interests.
