If your posts were a style of cooking, you’d be head chef of a restaurant where the signature dish was boiled cauliflower and plain rice served with tepid water.

You're too kind. I'll write what I want on here. If you have a problem with that then deal with it.

This is me dealing with it. By calling you oppressively bland.

Again you're too kind. I can easily just dismiss your pathetic opinion of me.

That would certainly be the blandest recourse.

My new desktop. They finally developed a mainstream processor that seems like a real upgrade from the one I bought 5 years ago :D

Them being AMD and it being the 12-core Ryzen 9 3900X. It will be mine until I can get the 16-core 3950X due for release in September, at which point this will become Brenden's. (Brenden is still using a motherboard and processor from shortly after we moved to the UK in 2010, so he's kind of due for an upgrade too :P)

They're a bit pricey, but I figure they'll last us like 10 years (or retain the equivalent thereof in resale value) so that the cost of owning them will average out to just about £4 and £6/month respectively, which should definitely be worth it for the performance increase since we use them all the time.
