Hey. I did your survey and answered honestly. I hope you get it and read it and pm me if there's anything confusing or strange about how I answered :)

Ryan.

Hi Ryan,

Thank you for taking the survey!

I don't look at or analyse individual answers and tried to collect as little directly identifying information as possible.

I’ve just been letting the responses trickle in for now as I haven’t had time to process them. Hopefully it’ll reach 200 soon!

Now that we’re back in Scotland I’ll see about some preliminary results.

I'm collecting data to analyse as part of my studies of statistics and data science. I wanted to collect data that was interesting and relevant to me, so I chose this topic and kept thinking of more and more interesting questions to ask until it became like an omnibus.

since it was still online, I did the survey! Hope it helps.

we do you exclude ACE men?

I think it's likely because they are collecting data on their sexuality, and an asexual by nature has no sexuality. They are not sexual...

Now, if they were doing a study on the romantic aspect it would make no sense to exclude asexuals, but it really does look like it focuses on sexuality specifically.

You are incorrect about your description of asexuality please do your homework before you post. Familiarize yourself with the term gray ace.

Negative. If I was describing gray ace I would have specified as such. I was speaking about the term asexual. The term itself is self-defining. I have done my homework and am quite knowledgeable about the subject. Please be a little less defensive and don't come at me confrontationally when all I was doing was answering your question. Our interactions will be a lot more pleasant if you do so.

You are a lot like most every gay person I have ever met. I didn't come at you defensive I came back with you factual. There's a reason why gray is used in the term gray ace so no you don't understand what's going on in. I suggested the use of a search engine and that's obviously something you don't care to do. Asexual is defined as an arc going from purely sexual to totally unsexual and everything in between this is something that's easy to Google.

As I've already stated I was NOT defining, or even including the term Gray Ace when I responded to your question. You yourself only used the term asexual.

The exact definition of asexual is as follows:

asexual
[āˈsekSH(o͞o)əl]
ADJECTIVE
not involving sexual activity, feelings, or associations; nonsexual.
"he led an asexual life" · [more]
biology
(of reproduction) not involving the fusion of gametes.
"each polyp is capable of budding new polyps though asexual reproduction in spring"
NOUN
a person who has no sexual feelings or desires, or who is not sexually attracted to anyone.

I am quite capable, and willing to use a search engine when one is needed. One was not needed, as I already know what both terms meant. Add in the fact that I know, and regularly communicate with multiple people who are varying degrees of asexual, and who have helped me educate myself on the reality of their existence, and I've got a pretty solid grasp of the subject.

Oh, and also, the way you phrased your initial request, telling me to please do my homework, and suggesting that I familiarize myself with the term used, was condescending, and dismissive. It was also defensive, and needlessly confrontational. If you dislike my perception of that, that's on you. You are the one who wrote it, and chose to do so with that particular phrasing.

So, if you'd like to continue to have a polite discussion we can. Since we've been doing pretty well on other topics it's obvious you are capable of doing so. If, instead, you want to continue to be bullheaded and refuse to accept that you are the one at fault for using one term, while simultaneously meaning another, you can kindly move along. I'm not interested in pandering to someone who wishes to play games.
