I love both of those :awesome:
I've also been enjoying 7 Wonders and its 2-player version, 7 Wonders Duel, a lot!

That's not really something I do, so probably never. :P

What a coincidence! Brenden and I got the game in a bundle with that expansion and were planning to play it with the expansion for the first time today! :keke:

Other board games we play sometimes include Puerto Rico, Elfenland/Elfenroads, Azul, Metropolis, Ticket to Ride and Caverna.

xeil wrote:What social media platform you use the most?

Probably either Facebook or Reddit, but I don't go on Facebook a lot since it can suck up endless amounts of time and I generally just go on Reddit when I'm researching people's experiences with something like a medication or for a while after I make a post/comment on it to answer replies. There is just one subreddit I check pretty regularly where I give people advice.

How many plants are in the room you're in?

I think it very well may be early retirement. Scary too because it is also going to be a major change. I may have to sacrifice some things (like motocross) to gain some things (become a world traveler of sorts). It would also be a final reckoning with moving on for me and that will put me in a better place state of mind, more at peace with myself.

Same question, what are you most excited for in the coming year?

I think most websites are alright on mobile phones nowadays. Back in like 2009, they'd look weird.

Have you ever been set up on a date

Yeh, but I didn't realise it was a date so didn't bother turning up. I felt bad about standing them up but I only found out a year later.

Who was your first love?

My close male friend in school. We had been friends for a short while but hit off really quickly, we wound up spending pretty much everyday with eachother. Things got a tad sexual as time went by, but I think from his side, it was largely curiousity, for me, it was alot more.

I fell in love with him at some point and after a long time of saying nothing, I told him in a letter. He went bright red and we didnt really talk about it. We drifted apart shortly after, for a time, but eventually we began spending time together but he made it clear, not in words, but in other ways, that our relationship would always be one of friendship. It broke me heart!

I tried to put those feelings away after that but it just wasnt happening, when we would spend our nights gaming together, or out with friends. It was hard to let go. I broke off the friendship in the end and tiny piece of me was never that same after.

How many times have you been in love?

If by "love" you mean to say feeling affection, attraction, wanting to spend time with them, etc. etc., then several times. Four or five times, maybe. If you mean it in the deeper sense, which I haven't the vocabulary or soul to describe, then probably just the once. :P

I loved her deeply, but I fell into a pretty bad place a few years in and forgot that, unfortunately. I'd probably have married her, to be honest. That is, if she hadn't saw the light and realised that, sometimes, you just can't help someone who's that deeply miserable. Never because of her, though.

We still do love one another, just in a different way, now. She's one of my best friends! In retrospect, we both realise that staying together might not have been the best idea, anyway. We were both too cynical and pessimistic. It was just us against everything, everyone, the world. Great fun, but we'd have dragged one another down into even darker depths, no doubt. :P

Do you believe in True Love? Feel free to answer in the affirmative or the negative in as poetic a way as you desire. :D

I believe there are as many definitions of true love as there are people who have experienced love. However, the one kind of love almost all of us can relate to is the love we can't have. The forbidden, the denied. Think about it: Why is Romeo and Juliet so popular? Why was Titanic so popular? Or The Great Gatsby? Or 500 Days of Summer? Because everyone wants someone they can't have, and they come so close but still miss that love by a hair's breadth.
That's like the most romantic thing for most people because that's the most romance we get in our lives.

AND, the best thing about this 'could be' love is that it doesn't get tarnished by reality and lives with us forever. That imaginary kind of lover doesn't age, doesn't get attracted to anyone else, doesn't grow boring or bitter with the mundaneness of everyday life and is always one idol of perfection we could never actually touch and hence always desire the same way.

That's half of what I believe to be true love.

The other half of what I believe to be true love is the one parents have for their kids when they're very young and extremely dependent. I think nobody loves anyone that unconditionally.

Same question.

I will add to your sentiment lightnight that for all of us, that kind of love, unrequited love, is the same. A truly universal experience can be hard to come by.

I do believe in true love. But I'm not sure if I believe in love without effort, which I think we sometimes think, true love ought to be and can only be, when we are in love in the superficial manner of youth. Like life without responsibility, love of the same demeanour can seem idealistic and pure, but rarely holds up to the travails of actual adult life. Or perhaps I'm a tad cynical. But true love is the love that lives on, after newly discovered passion has cooled, it is nurtured with moments shared and hardships endured, cultivated with a litany of seemingly insignificant words of encouragement, affection and care, it is the hundred little touches, that arent for sex or romance, but of the everyday.

If you havent done so already, do you see yourself ever finding love?

I'm unsure if I will ever find love as such but would love to be proved wrong. If I could just have some good mates and have the odd one night stand then things may be alright for me.

Is there any form of food that makes you want to puke just thinking about it?

Sardinian maggot cheese.

How often do you shower?

Every day! Usually in the evening, since I do a lot of manual labour at work and tend to be covered in mud.

How often do you have a bath? Full shebang. With candles and everything. :P

Whenever I stay at a hotel. For some reason, having a bath is part of my ‘hotel experience’.

Have you got anything to look forward to in May? If so, what is it?

If no, apologies I guess.

Not to sound like a mama’s boy but Mother’s Day. I’m gonna bring a tomahawk and 16 oz Japanese wagyu fillets and fire up the grill.
