Well that is indeed the question isn't it?

What is higher on my list of priorities? Blatant hedonism or long life? Actually, might those not be the same thing? Sort of, atleast?

Life is where all the best hedonism happens after all. More life means more hedonism.

It's a conundrum to be certain.

Honestly now that I’m almost 40, I think hedonism is kind of the way to go. I don’t have the ego to care much about ‘leaving my mark’ on the world. I was also killed and then revived when hit by the car, so it’s hard to argue health when something like that can easily happen.

Wonder why no one has come up with a compelling recipe for tobacco brownies. What would be better than nicotine AND chocolate with no need for an ashtray?

Because I’m fairly certain tobacco is outright poisonous to eat.

well then, THAT would be a compelling reason

+1 for herb that can be eaten
=1 for herb that requires inhalation

Self-image and self-hatred problems always seem to dick me around whenever I try and shop for new clothes because I can apparently never convince myself that I don't look completely shit and hideous in everything I wear.

If it’s any comfort, I feel the same way 99/100 times I see my own reflection anywhere.

have you tried shopping with a trusted friend or family member? they might give you helpful (and supportive) feedback that might make it easier

I think I got bitten or stung by a bug on my back. My husband had to rub Benadryl cream on it. :pfft:

I love being touched by him too, though I always flinch like a hyper, jumpy cat.

Awww :3 I wonder why you flinch. Like, you're expecting it, but it still takes you unawares.

My problem now is that I have two very large itchy welts on my back. It’s an allergic reaction but I can’t think of what.

Well, I hope the swelling and itchiness has passed. I know how irritating that can be.

So my phone is a real darling and likes to tell me what it has been tracking me doing, because it's not corporate digital stalking if they are upfront about it and volunteer this information in a jaunty fashion. Hey JAMES, you've visited THIS MANY places this month! You have walked a total of 25HRS in the month of February for a total of 98 miles etc etc.

Which when I got over the creepiness of it, I secretly found interesting and maybe dare I say it, useful.

I spent 24hrs of the last month, walking. Which on the face of it, seems like alot. But is it? I mean, out of 28 days, I spent a mere 1 of those walking. That suddenly doesn't seem like enough. What was I doing the other 27 days?

I had an odd moment, where I was annoyed my phone hadn't stalked me more effectively.

And that's when I realised. It's happened. I've been assimilated. All hope is lost.

Might aswell wire my brain directly to the Internet, set up an intravenous drip and be done with it. Because I am part of the collective now. How sad.

I’m two hours into my shift and I’ve already had a lot to clean up and fix, including disposing of a warm, dead rabbit.

For me it’s a Sunday.

It was parking lot roadkill and I have to deal with tons of laundry, weirdly busy Sunday guest traffic and I had to reclean a bathroom for a guest because a housekeeper did it wrong.

At least I didn’t find any dead animals in that bathroom. I guess I should be grateful for that.
