This is why people simply shouldn't have children; for then such things wouldn't happen! I mean, why can't people who desire children just buy a bunch of lizards instead? It's not as though there's anything a child can do that a lizard can't (aside, perhaps, from talking).

Surprisingly, it didn't! My eye just felt very irritated and so on, but no sniffles. I did watch Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix earlier, which in contrast did give me sniffles; but that was for a different reason, namely, from crying! I'm a bit easily made to cry from any talk or expression of love. So movies, and especially the Harry Potter movies, tend to make me cry quite a lot.

Ah, well, glad to hear it.

Ugh! I'm virtually attending a philosophy seminar in a few hours and I feel sick with anxiety over it. I keep worrying that somehow I'm just going to mess things up and never be invited to attend such seminars again. I've previously corresponded with the professor who's going to be presenting, and it was she who suggested I attend the seminar.

But what if I do something wrong somehow and then she judges me and never talks to me again? What if everyone ends up hating me? SO MANY THINGS CAN GO WRONG!!!!!!!

The seminar thing went badly for me and I feel so, so terrible right now.

To put it briefly, I was told days before this by the director of the research center that when I joined the virtual meeting we (those attending rather than presenting) would have our cameras off and our microphones muted. Trusting in this, I didn't bother making myself look presentable (especially for such an event as is this). But, lo and behold, when I joined the meeting everyone attending had their cameras on and microphones on. So, being me, and having severe anxiety, I panicked and therefore simply and immediately exited the meeting. Now I'm freaking out because I might've just totally destroyed the credibility I'd built up with the professor presenting. Clearly, I should just never do anything whatsoever that involves risk, and should also find the nearest cave to crawl into and slowly die or else turn into Gollum.

I'm so, so not okay right now.

I’m sorry that happened to you. I understand how nerve wracking something like that could be, especially when it appears that the parameters of how it was going to go changed.

I'm tired of being a passing stranger to people I put a lot of effort into getting to know.

It's ok. I'm too emotional anyway. Even when I mentally prepare myself for the possibility my feelings still end up taking me by surprise.

Maybe I'll get used to the feeling, who knows.

I don't remember that happening at all, save perhaps for a hint of a recollection that's so vague I've no confidence it's really a recollection of this event. In any case, how funny! The lawyer did make quite an adorable cat, however!

And certainly, it could've gone far, far worse than in fact it did. Yet even so, at the time, and in similar moments of panic, it really can seem to me as though the situation is one of the worst things that could've occurred. It's as if what little rationality and good sense I've to begin with just completely disappears—probably, of course, because that's partially what happens. Anyway, thanks for sharing the video and reminding me of how it wasn't truly as terrible as I had then imagined.

Why can't people just be nice to each other? And also, why is food sometimes so damned expensive!!

Singing takes a great deal of practice! Few people, if any, are quite able to sing very well on their own and without learning.

I've to read Shakespeare yet again! How, oh how did I ever know! It's as if there isn't a single other playwright for the English language save him. Honestly, I've been made to read Shakespeare's damned plays since I was in 5th grade. It's ridiculous!
