You’d better be charging them a competitive rate.

Why would I charge the political party I pay to be a member of?

You're not a member of the Green Party?

First the bisexual thing, now this. Everything I think I know is a lie...

Because these are austere times and political parties, of all groups, shouldn’t be sourcing skilled contractors on an unpaid basis when there are professionals screaming for work during an economic crisis. You’re facilitating them getting to blame unemployment on the conservatives, whilst also contributing to further unemployment by refusing to offer work that should be paid for.

If you’re good at something, never do it for free. Especially not for politicians.

I was a member of the Green Party of England and Wales down south, but here in Scotland I think the prime issue is independence and even though the Scottish Greens also support independence I think putting all eggs into the SNP basket until independence is actually gained is the most effective route to independence.

Also, the Greens can be a bit too woke sometimes for my taste.

But I'm not that good at it, yet. This gives me experience.

I'm not so cynical about all politicians! Especially ones I personally know, like my fellow local party members.

Correct me if I'm wrong, given I tend to ignore the Green Party pretty much all the time, but I thought the Green Party of England and Wales was against the idea of Scottish independence?

I'm aware I might be wrong about that. But if not it seems odd that different branches of the same party have such diametrically opposed views on such a huge issue.

Not the same party. Not branches. Different, independent parties. Just like the Green Party of the United States (GPUS) is not directly related to the Green Party of England and Wales (GPEW).

The Scottish Green Party is affiliated with the Global Greens and the European Green Party (but that also is just membership of international bodies in which they have representation).

See this I did not know. I assumed it was a region-specific branch, like Scottish Labour.... unless Scottish Labour are the same. It's safe to say I do not have a deep understanding of Scottish politics outside of 'which ones want independence and which don't.'

Selene did well... however we’re having issues with the cone of shame. But so far she’s took it off twice. Have to have an eye on her... yes Female cats in heat are annoying. We got there in time.

Apparently I’m slow roasting myself. I used to love the cold. I’d have my windows in my bedroom open all night, even in the winter. I never really owned coats. I loved the autumn/winter. But in recent years, I’ve rapidly swung to the opposite end of the spectrum entirely. I loathe the cold. I despise autumn/winter.

Ive had my attention drawn to quite how bad I’ve gotten today though.More than one person at work today has come into my office and remarked that it’s so warm it makes them feel sick, and yet I’m sat here in it all day thinking “I could go for another couple of degrees”

Same! As a teenager I'd have my bedroom window open even all winter long in Michigan, so well below freezing at night. And I used to pop mint candies like crazy because it felt cooling.

But now I love nothing more than bundling up and having the thermostat at like 22-23°C and hate going out in the cold.

What's it like, being warm? TFI Friday, it's been fucking baltic up here.

Noted. I now have you down for "Likes: Soup. Dislikes: Weather Appropriate Clothing". Soon I shall have all the information I require.

Yeah, I’ve got the thermostat in my office set to 30°C, but I’d say it’s probably only actually around 26°C in here. My colleagues are just absolute homos.

I couldn't work with the temperature up like that.

Being really warm makes me sleepy.
