weird fwb situation --please help!

I’m a college junior in upstate New York. There’s this guy that I’ve known on and off for about 6 months now (we met in a class) who I really like. He always treats me well and he’s hot. Over the past couple weeks we’ve talked about doing some casual stuff (almost like FWBs), because we are both attracted to each other but don’t want to commit to anything yet. At first this sounded amazing to me because I am somewhat sexually repressed (I’m only intimate once every 4-6 months or so), and I hate Grindr. Here’s the catch: I just found out that he’s a hardcore Republican and Trump supporter, which is absolutely insane to me. On one hand, I am disgusted by this, but at the same time, he is genuinely nice to me and the idea of having somewhat consistent sex with someone who I’m attracted to is appealing to me.

I don’t know what to do. Should I end it because we disagree so strongly (and he supports a bigot), or should I accept the fact that we’re very different but it’s ok because it’s ultimately just passionate sex? Any help would be great.

Your kidding me, right? It's FWB. Forget the politics and enjoy.

As someone who has, so far, dated a Bolsonaro supporter, I think you ought to give him a chance. I know it's hard sometimes, maybe even embarrassing, but you're not even dating him yet. Don't discount him as someone who isn't awesome to be around, just discuss things with patience. He has his reasons (and they're probably wrong), but it's better to discuss than to simply dismiss him. If he's caught your attention, that means he has value worth pursuing.

You never know — he just might convert you. At least have some fun giving him a chance.

As a general rule, I tend to think it's best not to shut such people out as it just consigns them to living in a bubble in which their views are normal and unquestioned.

It's the sort of thing Hillary would do. Don't be like Hillary.
